It's a "franchise player" you are taking. That way no one can steal that player from you. Just think if them as your franchise tag player
What would you want? What would you give up to take my spot? I am not asking for a lot...
Doing it this way naked it more fair for all. The first pick gets choice of franchises, the 10th pick gets last choice of franchise, but first pick of player draftI just prefer more flexibility... And since we can ONLY draft one player per division, you really wouldn't have to decide which franchise you have to take until the 9th round... Of course most would have decided before that...
What would you want?
Edit, it would have to be straight up. With the way the first two rounds work, the picks are basically even value IMO

It's gonna be interestingIdk I cant even think. I have no clue what team to take. This draft is going to take a long time lol
You only get one franchise player, not twoWait, so our first pick we're essentially drafting 3 things then, franchise combo and two franchise players(one from each)? Am I reading this right? Then after that it's an open draft pretty much, just having to follow along with the rest of the rules about divisions and meeting the required draft slots for the franchise.
Oh ok that's where I got confused. You get just one franchise player, but you have two franchises to choose from to meet the 8 player requirement (4 from each). You only get one franchise player, not two
I believe so. @wlk3 ?Oh ok that's where I got confused. You get just one franchise player, but you have two franchises to choose from to meet the 8 player requirement (4 from each).

Can I get a ruling on this? Bueller?1 question. If there are still players on one of our teams that we like later in the divisional draft, can we draft them as one of our division players? I know we couldn't draft 2 divisions players, since you can't draft them from the same team.

Yes, if you have the Cowboys you can draft one Cowboys player as a divison player.
Can you declare the extra player you took as a divisional pick instead of a team pick?
Yes. So essentially you can draft 5 players from both of your franchises even if they are in the same division.
Ex: you have the lions and bears. You can draft your 4 from each team. Plus, one from each team to max out your NFC North Division picks.
