Browns, Jaguars, Lions, and Bills are the only tams not to win their division since the re-alignment. The Jaguars and Browns aren't shocking and with the chokehold the Pats have on the AFC East neither is Buffalo.

3 teams in the AFC East should be ashamed. And 08 was only because Brady was out for the year. It's a CONSPIRACY!!!111

I couldn't help but laugh at the NFC East/South. Whenever friends and I are talking about who will win those divisions prior to a season, when we get to the NFC South/East everyone just stares blankly and stammers to come up with a team, lol.

On the AFC side of things, you can clearly see the Tom Brady/Peyton Manning effect on the outcome of division races. They each account for 25 division crowns for their respective teams.

I believe it is 24. 13 for Brady, 7 for Manning in Indy and 4 for Manning in Denver.

And which team has the most division titles without winning a Super Bowl in this span?

Ah yes. I conveniently forgot about the Tim Tebow year. Good catch!
Still, 24 out of the 27 seasons those two were playing, their team won the division.

I see a lot of coaching influences and a lot of QB influences.

Yeah they had a nice run in the AFC West with Rivers playing at an all-time level, LT in the backfield, Gates at the top of his game, and some pretty darn good WR's. Not to mention a good OL on top of that. Defensively they had some pieces in place as well that really during that stretch one could argue they had some of the most talented teams in the league. As we see in the NFL though the mighty can fall fast and hard.

They kind of hit their peak at the same time the colts and pats hit theirs. Easy to forget about them.

Had to look it up. 2006 - 14-2, ended on a 10 game winning streak. Shawne Merriman, Antonio Cromartie, Quentin Jammer, LT running for 1800 yards and 28td's.

And should have been hosting the AFC Championship Game. Don't need to remind Chargers fans of how bad of a loss that was.

Like I said talent was not an issue. I think there was actually one season they were ranked 1st in both total offense and total defense. Not sure that had ever happened in NFL history. They actually if I remember right didn't win the division that year because they had the worst special teams in football that cost them quite a few games.

Like I said though how quickly the mighty can fall. A few years of bad drafting paired with some bad Free Agency decisions and add in some key injuries and well you see what the Chargers are today.
