I do like my defensive line. I am a Lions fan though, so I have to let 80% of them walk after 1 year.

That's only because I took 2 of the 3 best WR's ever. Irvin is only #4:2cents:

Irvin never gets his do, Mostly because he had an average at best QB throwing to him.
I think Aikman was a lot better than that. When your running back gets 18,000 yards, you're not gonna put up Marino-Moss numbers. Win plenty if rings though. That club had an owner that ran off Jimmy Johnson and a League that started a Salary Cap at the height of their success. Take away those two things, and that bunch wins 5-6 Super Bowls instead of 3

There is a case for sure, I have just never been a fan of Aikman. I think you could have thrown half the QB's in the league at that time and the Cowboys would have won 3-5 superbowls.

I could be wrong though, it seems like the better the team around a QB the bigger the divide on the QB among fans. See the Brady argument in this same thread for a great example!

Maybe. A lot of QB's COULD have done the same, but might have audibled to more throws. Aikman and Irvin were unselfish. Bill Walsh and Mike Holmgren were both quoted as saying if Aikman had been drafted into a west coast system, he'd own every record in the book. They know a little about QB play.....

Rice
Moss
Megatron
Irvin
TBA(not picked)

Still makes no sense. I said something that warms my heart is CC is always picked before Irvin in our drafts, what does you taking Moss and Calvin have to do with that. In no way shape or form is Irvin #4 all time.

Troy Aikman was a very good QB, very accurate. He was the best player of the big three IMO.
