Me too. A superstar being focused on everyone taking coaching and being open to constructive criticism sets the.tone for the whole team. Hopefully no more entitled crap and Camp Cupcake part 2 is gone for good. Time for an attitude change and sounds like Micah is buying in, but Micah has never been an issue on the field, it's some of the other guys that were. Hopefully the Hot Boyz are just about all gone now, one by one they were shown the door.
I was talking about the podcast bankruptcy thing. He was looking to blow up a guy he has a rivalry with. Just speaks to pettiness not focus on climbing the mountain. Just leave that guy in the rearview and move on.

That makes zero sense. Are you uber focused on your job 86,400 seconds a day? If every player had Micah's drive to be better they'd be a lot better than they currently are. Actually I'm not sure if it was on his pod cast or not. I didn't watch it. It was on YouTube and someone posted it on another board and it was too long. I think someone asked him about it. I couldn't find the cliff notes

I just skimmed through it and Micah said nothing about Lawrence's bankruptcy and actually wasn't even in the video it was just clips someone put together about Lawrence's money issues and their beef and the origin of which (at least publicly) was the Ravens game last year where they gave up over 200 yards rushing after almost giving up 200 yards the week before to the Saints. They got into an argument during the game and Micah came out after and said they need to start following the defense and not freelancing. Supposedly the bigger issue was Tank just not liking that he was the leader of the stupid Hot Boyz for years but once Micah came everyone immediately knew he was the best player on the defense and the one everyone wanted to talk about and Tank took a back seat.

But Lawrence's money issues have been known for years,

Oh well, I should have just read the comments on the YouTube video as this was the second one and I found nothing online about Micah talking about Lawrences financial issues anywhere:

"You rambled for 20 mins but still didnt say exactly what Parson said to expose Lawrence's financial troubles. Do better!"

Believe what you want to believe. I think this kind of drama is just unproductive but if it makes Micah Parsons better I guess maybe it’s not. I’m gonna double down. I’m glad this is the stuff the Dallas Cowboys are focused on.

Looks like Jalyx Hunt was killing it during the minicamp yesterday, notching two sacks on Jordan Mailata and triggering the vet, who started cursing up a storm.

Also, 100% attendance. No drama. Per SI:

PHILADELPHIA – There were plenty of unhappy campers around the NFL as minicamps opened this week. Disgruntled veterans such as the Steelers’ T.J. Watt, the Bengals’ Trey Hendrickson, and the Dolphins’ Jalen Ramsey were just three of several players not showing up because of unhappiness with their contracts.

Not in Philadelphia. The Eagles had 100 percent attendance on Tuesday for their only day of minicamp practice, which wrapped up spring workouts. The next time the Eagles will be seen is July 21, which is the tentative report date for training camp.

Man if Howie found an impact DE from Houston Christian University, a school I had never heard of despite spending more than a decade in Houston, that might be his most impressive move yet.

Sounds like Mailata is done...

Hunt was born to rush the passer. He’s got that fast twitch shit out the ass.

I have always felt that Mailata was overrated frankly. He is a good run blocker, but he gives up sacks. A good but not great player. He plays next to a great player in Landon Dickerson. Dickerson is also not super great against the pass but he is elite as a run blocker.

Again, one has absolutely zero to do with the other. This team is "supposedly" more focused than it has been in a long time. I heard CeeDee gave someone who cut him off in traffic the finger. Now we are really screwed

I'm legit confused. Sarcasm? It's early and I'm just on my first cup of coffee.

He's still learning to play and growing into his frame. Just a few years ago he was playing safety at Cornell. One of the stranger trajectories I have seen to being an NFL edge.

I doubt he becomes a 10 sack guy personally, but even if he becomes a solid 8 sack guy this season, alongside Jalen Carter, Jordan Davis and Nolan Smith, that's big for this young defense.

No, this is my honest opinion. Jordan Mailata is a good but not great LT.

Obviously, he is a legendary find though, a former rugby guy who never played organized football before being drafted by Philly in the 7th round. He's totally OK, but he is not Lane Johnson.

Which was the player you said the other day was going to break out? Hunt or someone else?
Yep. I’ve loved this kid ever since I saw his film post 2024 draft. I couldn’t believe the big schools missed on the kid. He’s an athletic freak.

Interesting. I know his run blocking is better than his pass protection, but since his run blocking is elite that isn't necessarily a knock. I also know he did struggle in pass protection for a while last year (or was it the year before?) I think after returning from injury. Even still a good fit for your team because you run so much and throw off the run. Plus doesn't Hurts hold the ball longer than any other QB in the league? That probably makes it a little tougher on his OL to keep a clean pocket

I think the pass rusher got better because the personnel fits the scheme now. Fangio’s stuff improves when he has LBs that are a threat to cover or rush so he can disguise the 4th rusher in scheme. For instance, outside of a handful of plays, you knew that Sweat was rushing. Hunt and Nolan Smith can both rush or cover.

I agree he’s not Lane Johnson. But he’s a top 5 LT in the NFL right now.

I think Mailata is probably top 10. In any case, I know I am nitpicking a good player. But I don't see him on the level of a Jason Kelce, Jason Peters, Lane Johnson or some of the real greats we have had in recent years. Dickerson may be on that level now and he can be a HOF caliber player if he can stay healthy long enough to carve out a longer career and win a few rings.
