Not if the Packers lose on Saturday, Rams win on Sunday or Bucs lose on Sunday.
Its a long shot, but yes there's a chance Dallas can get the one seed.

If Dallas is tied with TB they need a 3rd team tied. Dallas wins the tie vs. all other NFC teams due to conference record.

Yeah long shot... but still possible. Would need 4 way tie of all division winners or 3 way tie that includes either Packers or Rams. 3 way tie with Bucs and Cards with lose to both would cause them to lose tiebreaker before conference record.

Cowboys in the playoffs... that is the first step, congrats to Cowboys fans.

If the Cowboys wanted the 1 seed, they shouldn’t have let the Broncos come into their house and stomp them.

In order to get the 1 seed they'd have to beat Arizona, so they'd own that tie. The lost to TB so they need a 3rd team tied.

If Dallas manages to tie with any team for the best NFC record they get the one seed due to more NFC wins. Their 2-3 AFC record is thier friend.

I'll agree getting there is step one. Not that it matters but I prefer not being the 4 seed because I really dont want to face LAR or Arizona in the WC.

I just did a Rams/Cowboys only best record on the Playoff Machine and it gave the 1 to Dallas

In all honesty I don't see Dallas getting the 1 because I don't see GB losing any games.

Its nice to hope though.

My barometer for the Cowboys was their defense and I thought they needed to hit top 20. 28th last year. 7th this year.

It seems like the Cowboys draft well. They just haven't been able to put everything together until this season.

and this year currently remains incomplete. The 2016 team looked pretty good going into the playoffs, then Rodgers did his Rodgers thing he does to Dallas extremely well. Much to play out for Dallas to be considered anything more than a playoff participant.

I will say....IF and I mean IF Dallas's defense builds on what we've seen since Lawarence & Geogory returned...they might hold up better against Sir Aaron.

Yup, losing games to shitty teams like Denver is not acceptable for teams that want to be considered amongst the best. If a team like the Broncos can beat you that badly it's pretty clear you aren't elite and really not even close. I mean as we all know the Broncos suck, so that's gotta make some kind of statement, because you know, as we all know the Broncos are pretty shitty so losing to a shitty team like the Broncos isn't a good sign

The 2016 team was really good but a combination of Jason Garrett and rookie Dak made their early playoff exist maybe seem somewhat unsurprising. I feel like if they have all of the pieces healthy that this team might be better.

If Cowboys win out they have the best conference record (2nd tiebreaker) in the NFC. So only teams that beat them with the head to head tiebreaker (1st tiebreaker) can finish ahead of them if tied.

i wouldn't be surprised to see GB lose a game. But, I would be very surprised to see Dallas win 3 more in a row

Dak was awesome and brought the team from behind to tie the game twice in the last 5 minutes - once with 35 seconds left. He threw a bad pick early on a bad read on a quick screen to a defender he didn't see, but was great after that

Dak and Zeke were both awesome. I guess there is just something to be said about Dak being older and the Cowboys having better receiving options for the playoffs. In theory. Receivers (and Tight Ends) commonly swing playoff games because almost everyone in the playoffs has a good defense and it often just comes down to who makes plays.

Problem is Dak and those receivers haven't exactly been on fire as of late. Hopefully they get going soon and keep ot going.

As a die hard Cowboy hater, I will be a little concerned heading into these playoffs. Dallas will be hosting their first playoff game and will probably win it against one of the wildcard teams. But I don't see them beating Tampa, GB, or even the Rams the following week. If somehow they win in that round, I might consider taking a trip to the Caribbean so i don't have to hear all the pro-Dallas sports talk leading up to the NFC championship game. Anyway, Merry Christmas to all! (Except Cowboys fans). Okay, you guys too:)
