A Clemson guy I know that runs his own site shared this with me. According to him, on the radio in South Carolina (105.5 The Roar), they asked the question of which 8 different teams they thought would play for the next 10 national titles. He said they had a Rivals.com guy on the show at the time and they all submitted picks.

Radio guy Ben took:
Clemson
Oklahoma
Texas
LSU
Alabama
Oregon
Ohio St
Georgia

Radio guy Brad:
Clemson
Oklahoma
Texas
Ohio St
Alabama
Geogia
Lsu
Auburn

Rivals.com guy:
Georgia
Oklahoma
Ohio St
Clemson
Texas
Notre Dame
Alabama
Nebraska

There's hope out there.

That's what I thought. How the hell do they ALL have Clemson and Bama on there when UCF has NEVER lost to Bama in all of history. Plus they beat the teams that beat Bama.

I think they are simply giving them a shot at beating Oklahoma and since OU has made it... they are throwing them a small bone.

Yeah, probably. I think that they are sleeping on Wisconsin, especially with a 10-year window. Recruiting rankings are moving upwards and combined with how they develop players, they are not far from making the last step.

As much as it pains me to say, I don't think Wisconsin will make it while Alvarez is the AD. I hear he plays everything too close to the chest and doesn't allow the coach to do as much as he otherwise would.

But they have come close a few times in the past 10-12 years.

I don't think they will.

If Frost is the real deal, they could potentially. michigan could strike lightning. Those are the only other B1G schools I can see playing for one.

I think you should be concerned with making the next step - win the conference again, and this time not when two of the top teams in the conference are banned from postseason play. It'd also help to develop a QB at some time.

I can see Frost having a big impact there but he still has a way to go as far as talent. 3-4 years down the road maybe. Wisconsin-Nebraska could become the West's version of The Game. I don't see Iowa as much more than a little brother that jumps up occasionally. Call me a homer if you will, but there it is. 2019 could be a rebuilding year but then UW makes a jump up. Scheduling needs to get better and I think the ND series will help.

I think it is more of developing a series of QBs. Mertz(incoming freshman) is what I am hanging my hopes on.

Like I said, homer glasses

All three guys agree on six teams: Texas, plus the usual suspects of Alabama, Clemson, Ohio St., Oklahoma & Georgia.

Both radio guys also had LSU on their list, while Ben added Oregon & Brad had Auburn. The rivals.com guy seemed the farthest afield with his picks of Nebraska & Notre Dame.

I would have the same six they all agreed on, and throw in Texas A&M and Florida.
