I do think he'd be better in a 4-3 system admittedly... clearly I'm not being paid the big bucks to make that call... but ya, just my opinion.

Tbh idk what the Giants are doing. Early on they were going pass heavy with one of the weakest WR corps in the NFL.

There are a lot of adjustments they can make that could really change things. I hope they don't.

Yes, Seattle doesn't really have the personnel for a 3-4 at the moment... although the guys are doing their best to learn it.

3-4 is a weird defense to run. IF you get it working, it's absolutely ridiculous to play against, but it requires a TON out of your linebacker crew. Brooks is great in run support but horrible in coverage. Taylor is a good pass rusher but terrible at everything else. Mafe is raw in general. Barton should not be starting. Nwosu is about the only solid piece that you can actually credit at the LBer level...

It's a huge mess at the moment... Harris/Nwosu, fine. But everyone else is a deer in the headlights. Meanwhile, they actually have a pretty solid 4-3 build... but I guess we're done with that? lol... it's a little puzzling to me. Seattle needs a true 3-4 NT and 3-4 DE/EDGE to pair with their existing team and I'm just going to say it, Taylor is gone from this team in 2023. He doesn't fit the new scheme AT ALL. Mafe you can mold a bit... he's athletic enough to pull off Nwosu 2.0. I don't think Mafe will ever be more than a 'solid' 3-4 backer... and that's fine, you need solid guys, but that's where it ends.

100% agreed.

A well run and well coached 3-4 can create a lot of problems, but you have to have the right personnel for it. 4-3 is much simpler to run because the edge rushers don't have to think about if they need to drop back into coverage.
