New NHL uniform rules

Players can't tuck their jerseys into their pants anymore. Ovechkin said yesterday he thinks they are "stupid" as he obviously is a guy that tucks in his jersey and doesn't want to change doing that. Oates commented he understands the sleeve

What do you guys think?

I don't see the big deal about making players not tuck, but I don't understand how it's a safety issue either.

I seem to remember a certain player doing it...

I feel bad for smaller players like Tyler Ennis. His jersey tucked in during the middle of a play, and he ended up getting a warning. How the hell is it his fault if it happened on its own during the course of the game?

Then you had the announcers talking non-stop about how Enroth had his jersey tucked in all game, but perhaps the refs didn't notice because he is backed into the net from behind.
