I don't think there is a single person that posts on here that doubts that is your hope.

Most people understand it's the NFL realizing they have to close yet another loophole that cheaters will otherwise exploit.

The conclusion is that it's a very sad that the league would have to come up with these changes. Quite frankly, I think the league should treat everyone like children and take away the privilege of being able to provide their own balls. Go back to how things were before 2006. It sucks that some had to ruin it for others. The league isn't perfect. It's hard having to police against those who look to exploit every possible loophole in the rule book.
