This be funny. I actually made a pot-o-chili last night.

I have been staying away from red meat for a while so I use ground turkey. The old me would have scoffed at this, but the flavor and texture is (surprisingly) almost identical. Still delicious.

Mines come out thick, the way I like it.

I used ground turkey and pork, w/red wine among other variables. It's been awhile since Ive made a batch with beef, if I do I use a roast of some sort cubed up, not ground.

Hi, all. Just joined up here and thought I'd introduce myself. I'm a lifelong Husker fan, now living in central OR. Right smack in the middle of Duck country... they're almost as rabid fans as us Huskers!

Been quite a season so far; they've almost put me in the hospital with all these come-from-behind wins, but then again, I love the exciting finishes!

Really good stuff...The green color comes from tomatillos, a small green tomato-like affair. It's traditionally made with diced pork and jalapeno peppers make it hot. Do yourself a favor and next time you run across a place that offers it, give it a try!
