Just saw this on the CFB reddit:
The 2-7 UCLA Bruins' Path to a Pac-12 Championship
The Bruins are still very much alive in the Pac-12 race and it's not inconceivable them to make the Pac-12 Championship. The following would need to take place:
Even if the Pac-12 South teams win all other games not listed above here, the final standings would be:
- UCLA Wins out (Wins over @ASU, USC, Stanford) - Would give UCLA the tie-breakers over ASU/USC and they already hold the head-to-head tiebreaker over Arizona
- Arizona loses one more game (@Wash St or ASU)
- Utah loses both conference games remaining (Oregon and @Colorado)
- Colorado loses against Wash St this week
UCLA 5-4
USC 5-4
ASU/UofA 5-4
Colorado 4-5
Utah 4-5
ASU/UofA 4-5
UCLA wins by virtue of head-to-head tiebreakers over the tied teams
The 5-7 Bruins would be your Pac-12 South Champion and would play the North winner for the Pac-12 Championship in Santa Clara. Win that game and UCLA wins the Pac-12
Let's hope that no UCLA fan has gone out and booked a motel room in Santa Clara
