Stay away from "old" WR's on the decline. Very little bang for the buck! (ref: Ju Ju)
Agreed. We have a boat load of young talent; we need to develop that young talent. I also question the idea of having to have a legit #1 WR like Chase, Lamb, Hill, etc. Yeah very talented guys, very expensive guys, could a team have sustained success with a tier lower and solid run game? I often think about this.

Vrabel held his first Press Conference since becoming HC at the Combine today.

Quote........About free agency:

"Hopefully aggressive. We want to be aggressive." Vrabel told reporters. "We want to target players that we feel are gonna help us., that are gonna be outstanding players, that are gonna be outstanding additions to the locker room and the community. And if that all fits and the compensation fits, I'm confident that we'll be aggressive."

Vrabel also said that He, Eliot Wolf and Ryan Cowden have already begun to have talks with potential draft targets since arriving yesterday. He indicated that they have many more young players to interview and discuss positions with.

Mike Giardi was on Early Edition tonight.

"I spoke with no less than a dozen GMs and Personnel people over my last three days in Indy. Not a single person would give this years free agent class as much as a lukewarm status. I don't think anyone is trying to hide a secret. They all are intent on trying to keep the ir own free agents from going on the market."

Note........In 2001, Bill Belichick and Pioli signed 17 mid-level free agents, Mike Vrabel was one of them as was David Patten. We all know that they had probably the greatest steal of all time in the sixth round of that draft.

Maybe looking at the cream at the top isn't always the best flavor or richest talent.

Never know whether or not someone has straight from the horse's mouth or straight from the horse's ass information.......From a Bears' commentator at the combine. Ronnie Stanley is not going to immediately resign with the Ravens. He wants to see what the free agent market has to offer. The Bears will be in the mix if he doesn't sign by next weekend.

If what this guy says is true, let's hope that the Patriots can be in that mix.

I always assume the latter until anything happens. It keeps the odds in my favor by a landslide.

The new NFL season begins in 10 days.

Legal tampering supposedly begins on the 11th.

We all know that's BS because the first trade was completed yesterday between the 49ers and Commanders.

The Patriots are still in Indianapolis at the Combine because today is Offensive Line Day. The final day of the Combine.

Not a single rumor about anyone from the Patriots being seen with any other team officials. Lack of rumor starting media? Lack of interest by the Patriots? Are the Patriots sending out signals that they aren't interested in certain players?

Should Patriots fans be concerned? Or should everyone just wait and see? Will or are the Patriots involved in the "Illegal Tampering Period and greasing the wheels? Just throwing it out there.

Yeah, a guy that has historically missed half his games every season sounds ideal! Whoopee!

Asking the question here, is it tampering when talking trades? He wasn't a FA.

Smoke and mirrors maybe by the Pats? They can see the combine results. If they want a player they can bring them in for interviews later. Or they're really set on going hard for OT help in FA. No way they're just ignoring this gaping wound on the Oline.

The trade rumors are starting to pick up also. Hate to think that this group is asleep at the wheel. After 2024, I don't have a whole hell of a lot of trust in Eliot Wolfe.
