Alright, should be a good season folks. I'm going to run this thing again after taking a year off, thanks to Logic for taking over last season.
I'm going to have everything posted on this thread including standings, games for the week, rules, etc so please sticky this if you can @trojanfan12
DATES: I will have this thread updated with games to pick from Thursday-Sunday each week with the totals added up Monday morning and next slate of games posted every Tuesday.
SCORING: 1 point for each correct pick, there will be anywhere from 10-14 games to pick each week. There will be a little more than half straight up Pickems with 4-5 games per week that will include a spread that I set for that game.
STANDINGS: The most total points and winning percentages will be posted each week after the games settle either on Sunday night or Monday morning.
PLAYOFFS: The top 6 pickers with the most total points will make the playoffs and the top 2 percentages (outside of those top 6) will make the playoffs as well (with a certain minimum amount of picks necessary to qualify). In other words, it's best not to miss multiple weeks… the more points the better. 8 teams in the playoffs. First and second seed get a 1 point advantage for their first round matchup which seems like nothing but it's actually quite a bit.
Example of how you should make picks:
Week 1 games: (NOT ACTUAL GAMES, JUST WHAT IT WILL LOOK LIKE)
Straight up-
Lakers @ Nuggets
Rockets @ Pelicans
Suns @ Mavs
Kings @ Hornets
Pistons @ Celtics
Thunder @ Spurs
Cavs @ Magic
Games w/spread-
Wolves @ Blazers +5.5
Bulls @ Heat -1.5
Warriors @ Hawks +6.5
Grizzlies @ Kings +7.5 (tie-breaker) *Guess the combined total points from this game*
