Man.

What is wrong with Jerry Jones?

Chances of this working are very low.

When Cowboys were winning super bowls, he had leader of men coaches at the helm. Why go away from that?

There has been a corresponding decrease in success when Jones had gone with these yes men types.
Shhhhhhhhhhh...

The rest of us non-Cownoys fans love it when they suck. Quit trying to spill the beans, coach... :heh:

I’m not saying I am mad about it.

Cowboys and commanders going in opposite directions.

We got rid of our meddlesome owner. Now the franchise has a chance

Same thing that killed MJ's Bulls. Ego and "credit".

When the Cowboys won their Super Bowls with Jimmie Johnson the credit went to him and Jerruh didn't like that. So, he hires puppets as HC so he can be the de-facto coach and get the credit if they win the Super Bowl.

Unfortunately for the Cowboys and their fans...he's not a very good coach.

They did lose their way when they hired Rich Rod and then Hoke. Still have the most wins in college football. Must feel bad to keep losing to a team that you feel so superior to.
13-10

See you in November
Yeah winning a title feels terrible.

Ya gotta love this forum.

Down year? It is more likely the opposite. 3 double digit win seasons in a row. They had 5 the previous 17 seasons before that.

In that same time frame (20 seasons), Ohio St only had 3 seasons where they didn’t have double digit win seasons. One was covid year (7-1) and one was the year they had the bowl ban and suspended players.

The difference in the two programs is night and day.
This is something those OSU fans Herbsteit calls out cannot grasp.

Seems OSU might be the only team not to have a long stretch of middling play in this millenium like pretty much everyone else has had. Why I thought Day was safe barring maybe a blowout loss to TN and guys wanting out.

As soon as Jones no longer controls the day to day of the Cowboys, whether he gives it up or dies (most likely this), they'll start winning. It'll be exactly like Snyder and Washington

Yeah. I’m afraid of that

There’s still time, Jerry will still be making decisions blinking with Morse code in an iron lung before giving up the helm.

Probably has a list of demands for whoever he leaves the team to so he can run the team from beyond the grave.

That might actually be an even more amusing period for the Cowboys. Stupid decisions during that era will be made by “Ghost Jerry” and will be referred to that way by everyone.

You know that data center that OpenAI and Trump announced was being built in Texas? It's actually being used to upload Jerry's consciousness to an AI so he can run the Cowboys forever

I hope they do make those changes

Would not have impacted either call last weekend. But probably does help the Commaders with that 3rd down facemask call that wasn’t a facemask.

I think the late side Mahomes did where the Texan defenders hit each other would have been reversed imo

I really don’t.

Even though it was a bad call, there was still contact. And replay review doesn’t change judgement calls.

They could only reverse if there wasn’t contact at all.

That is unless they completely change all the replay rules.

Heard Knowles could be gone. The strange thing is if true he is going to Penn St.
Very strange to me, maybe a combination of money and tension between the staff.
Nothing is certain but it was from an Oklahoma insider that has over 50K followers. I am also hearing it on Bucknuts.

Penn St going all in if true.

Have heard the rumors but at one time these rumors were he was headed to Oklahoma. Sounds like OSU ready to make him the highest paid DC in the sport.

If he wants to go I guess can't stop him.
