I think a big part is they resent her for not only being this brand... but that that brand includes her being white.. and more importantly straight.

A third of the league identifies as lesbian which means you probably got another 5 to 10 percent that are also gay.


I can understand a bit the aggravation they may feel having the face of the league be a cornbread straight white woman as they have likely faced an uphill climb with their own identity issues to get to a league where it's practicality the norm

Now you got old white guys tuning in to the WNBA because of Caitlin and when that happens they fear that those individuals may start wanting to control the narrative a bit.
