St Louis and Detroit aren't small markets. You keep doing this with detroit teams and I keep telling you the fan base just doesn't put up with bullshit from their front office.

Different than KC and Pittsburgh.

In terms of MLB markets, St Louis is 25th and Detroit is 18th. KC is 28th (last) and Pittsburgh is 26th. That's counting NYC, LA, and Chicago as separate markets for each of their 2 teams.

St Louis is not a small market from a baseball standpoint.

Detroit isn't just Detroit it swallows toledo and other surrounding smaller metro areas as well.

Which is why when they're good people will travel to see them.

The Red Wings are easily a top 5 NHL franchise

The Tigers and Pistons were both top 10 in attendance for most of the 00s.

I'd never argue it's a big market but it's not a small one.

The Tigers and Red Wings especially.

You're confusing support and market size. St Louis out-supports it's market size for baseball, yes.

I can’t believe I hit under 227.5 in that Lakers game last night. With 3:30 minutes to go 3 points would have sunk me but only 2 points from there ha. Totally handicapped that fucker wrong and still won.

Support equals revenue and that's what this discussion is about.

Cards and Tigers have routinely had high payrolls. The latter when their owner wasn't a piece of shit.

Goes to show that teams shouldn't point at their market as an excuse. Lack of spending is always on ownership.

I used to bet back in college and there was one Giants game, I think they were playing the Eagles. I had the under, it was like 52, scored 50 points at half. Didn't score a single point in the 2H. Betting is so fucked up. I might get back into when I am older-small bets for fun but it's fucked up.
