Turns out they are building the stadium on Tropicana where the Wild West casino now sits. They will need to clean that area up considerably.

Never will forget 1993 I was at the Oakland ballpark. Took a pregame picture of a very young KenGriffey Jr jumping on the back of Rickey Henderson. I need to find that. Same series saw Randy Johnson strike out like 17.

I remember walking up to the Coliseum for game 1 of the 2000 playoffs, Oakland vs the Yankees, Roger Clemens pitching, just got a ticket at the gate with a buddy and strolled in. It was maybe 3/4 full.
