Oh tons of shit happened, I mean tons. Riley himself said he shouidnt have done some of the things he did. You know what though, it’s over. If you think you won congrats, enjoy. I treat people with class, this is over.

I don't consider any of it a "win" necessarily. 1 program lost a coach that won a lot of games for them, but that gave a deserving coach his shot and another program had to go through a few years of crap to get a coach that has them back winning.

It's only been 1 year for both coaches. USC had the better season, but both programs showed that they have a lot of work to do.

So far, I have no complaints about Riley. It's only possible to rebuild 1 side of the ball in 1 offseason, even with the portal. He brought a QB with him who is special and offense is how he got to where he is, so he rightly chose to rebuild the offense first.

As far as the defense, believe it or not, it was actually better than last years. They led the nation in turnover margin and got a lot of sacks. They just didn't have much size, which led to broken tackles and lots of yards after contact. It also made them vulnerable to teams with good tight ends. Riley has acknowledged that USC needs more size on both lines and at linebacker. Now we have to see if he gets it. If memory serves, he has already landed a couple of guys with size.

For Grinch, I like his schemes and he had guys in the right spots almost all of the time (hence the turnover margin and sacks) and he never made excuses or publicly blamed the players. That goes a long way with me. Now, he and Riley need to get some size on that defense.

They will need to make sure they do because USC fans won't be quiet about calling for his head or Riley's. Hell, I've already seen a few fans calling for Grinch's head.

Do you guys have an official date when you start in the SEC?

It’s pretty much assumed now that it will coincide with the new playoff, so just one more year.

business not booming

So basically the move to Prime is pulling the average down. It was up on the other networks and was set to be up slightly or flat on ESPN had the Bill/Bengals game not had the Hamlin situation. I'm also curious how they're reporting the ESPN rating in this story considering several of ESPN's games were split across ABC, ESPN, and ESPN2 (Manning Cast). Are they adding all the totals together and counting it as one rating or just the ratings on ESPN?

Well I was going to lay the points with the niners today but I have decided it’s just too much. Seattle and the pts for me.

Yeah, Purdy's first postseason start. Same for Geno but he's a vet while Purdy is still rookie'ing it up.

And I think Seattle makes it a close game in their 3rd game against each other. Didn't take me long to take Seattle.

I like Seattle+9.5 and the Chargers -1.5.

I may need to reevaluate because as of right now I agree lol. I may still go with the Jags, they killed the Chargers earlier in the year. In the end though the Jags dont have any experience in this spot. If Williams is out though that hurts the Chargers badly.

That means there is game tape to make adjustments on. And that's something to consider in a game between evenly matched up teams.

Just a thought.

The under.

"It's a terrific quarterback matchup between Herbert and Trevor Lawrence, with both young stars making their postseason debuts. It's the fourth playoff QB matchup since 1950 between first-round picks both under the age of 25. Yet the defenses may control this game with temperatures expected to be only in the high 30s at kickoff. L.A. has allowed just 15.5 points per game in its past five and Jacksonville 15.6 in its past five."
