Pretty sweet to be able to say that after being handed an advantage no other NFL team has been handed before. Only team with a bye. Homefield throughout. At least that money paid for the face of the league is bringing home dividends.

OMG ok. Yep it's the first time another team has benefitted from another team's misfortune. Stop the presses...

TBF this is the first time in NFL history we see something like this and it should be handling the correct way. Teams have a schedule at the beginning of the season and for a team to not get a chance to control their own destiny is just not right. If another team was in KC's position the same point would be made.

I mean don't have they something in place for a natural disaster, like an earthquake. I would think this could be ruled in the same way...other than that team playing a neutral site for the rest of the season. You have to reschedule the game for a neutral site or at the teams' stadium to complete the game. That should be the focal point, to finish every game on the schedule. Skipping it would be a travesty to this sport and it's a fireable offense. Goodell needs to get this right...it isn't about KC, it isn't about any team. It's about being fair to everyone and doing everything in their power to finish this game.

And I get all that. I'm not insensitive to what happened to Hamlin, after all. I'm just saying if the situation were reversed would you hear as much complaints about the this? Ain't like the Chiefs put that kid in the hospital...

I think we would in any case, it just so happens that there is a jumbled mess at the top of the AFC and not playing this game affects a lot of teams.
