Maybe McDaniels thinks he can get his GM to trade for Rodgers.....seen that in cyberspace.

Sounds great in theory.

But do you really want to give up multiple 1sts for a aging QB who doesn’t have that much time left?

Sounds a lot like what the Broncos did.

And I dont think the Raiders are particularly close.

Again I am not a fan of what McDumbass is doing. Please quote where I said I am. You won't find it.

Why that tone?

You are all over the place with this.

You said you would prefer the Raiders let Carr go and pay Jacobs.

But who do you want the Raiders to get to play QB?

And remember, if you go after someone who is actually good and under contract, the trade market was set last summer and it isn’t pretty.

I think you are right for the most part, but the Watson deal is always going to looked at by the other teams as a dumbass one off by the Browns I think.

Sure.

But mostly because of the extenuating circumstances.

Had Watson been playing and if he wasn’t a scumbag, then he would have fetched even more.

Yeah you just don’t get the big time QBs via trade often, worst case they get franchised. If you have one offered to you you might want to be asking around, a lot.

Who though?

Realistically?

And even if someone unexpected becomes available on the trade market, it is likely they are damaged goods (Wilson, Watson, etc).

Teams just don’t let their franchise QB go unless they don’t believe that guy is a franchise QB.

Or if they are the Commanders.
They’re likely looking for their next QB in the draft and it isn’t necessarily with their 1st round pick. McDaniel is a guy who thinks he can develop a talent. I can see them investing in a QB that is a stop gap for one-two years while developing somebody.

@bksballer89 we get another free look at Buchner. Let’s see if his early season performances were the result of jitters or if he’s a dead end for the future.
