Yes. Society frowns upon people masturbating in front of undesired viewers. If you flash someone on the street today and are arrested, you’d be charged with indecent exposure and sexual assault. Sorry that society has advanced on this shit.
Agree, but think most of society in an undesirable situation does not stay and watch AND get close enough to be squirted.

These are always he said she said situations. That means nothing. The standard for guilt in our criminal justice system vs the NFL code of conduct are entirely different things.
Agree...but in your world is it always guilty for the player when it comes to punishment or does it matter how much you like or hate that player or the team he plays for?

In the NFL’s eyes a settlement is an admission of guilt. Maybe that 1 year suspension appealed to 8-12 games is legit.
Wow do you just make it up as it suits you. an admission of guilt? I mean, it's possible the NFL told him to settle and he'll get a lesser suspension.

Like I've said before he deserves whatever he gets. If it's a long suspension maybe some Browns fans will have an issue. But I won't.
I might question something longer than a year but I could understand anything from nothing to a year+

No dog in this fight.

But, very valid question.

Interesting to see what values people choose to uphold, and ignore, depending on the athlete/team they root for and against.

I mean, because I don't believe everything said about the guy that is negative I get lumped into those with an agenda, homer, etc. However, I've been clear the guy has issues, needs help and also think anything from no suspension to a year+ could be justified.

No matter what the length of the suspension is some will have an issue with it.

If it's only 6, 8 or even 10 games some will say it's too short.

If it's a full season again some might have an issue.

Then there's group of people that might say he should be kicked outta the league for good.

When I worked in the jail, inmates used to gas guards daily.

Urine, feces, blood, sperm....

That's fucking assault and people are convicted because of it.

Holy moly that's disgusting. Bummer you had to go through something like that.

I still think it could even be less than 6 and, yes, many will complain about that, too.

My values are if it's wrong it's wrong. There's no in between for me. I will always be a fan of the teams I root for. But under no circumstances would I ever support a player that gets himself into trouble.

I'll use a couple of my teams as an example. Kareem Hunt and his actions in that Cleveland hotel a few years ago. Don't like him at all. But I want him to be productive since he plays for the Browns.

Urban Meyer. I said his character was questionable all the back when he took the job in Columbus. I called him a win at all costs coach. And then his disgusting cover up of Z. Smith was made public.

He's pretty disgusting.

But, he hasn't been convicted of a crime.

People have compartmentalized shit since the beginning of time.

Do I think he's a pig?

Absolutely.

Do I think he's guilty?

Yes, of a lot of this.

But, that's not the way the law works.

We aren't the fucking thought police.

I THINK Kobe is guilty of doing something untoward in Denver.

The number of alleged victims for Watson puts this closer to the Sandusky category than Kobe.

But, Kobe was able to continue on with his career.

Laker fans cheered the team on.

Even though some of them admit they didn't like him very much as a person.

I'm not even going to attempt to guess the length of the suspension.

A year seems to be the most often quoted suspension length.

I'd guess a year, which will be reduced on appeal. How much it's reduced will likely depend on how hard the NFLPA is willing to fight for him.

....and nobody can fault you for that.

I don't like dirtbags.

But, I am more sensitive towards certain crimes than others.

Sex crimes against women, children...

Violent crimes against children, elderly, animals...

Hot button issues for Me.

But, I have also seen first hand how false allegations for these crimes have ruined people's futures.

For me, the settlements pose a huge problem.

If it were me, no amount of money would stop me from seeking prosecution.

But, those are my values that I can't project on other people.

I don't know there history, family dynamics.

Maybe they have their reasons.

So, even though I think Watson, R Kelly, Michael Jackson are/were sexual predators, without convictions they get to carry on.

I still think 8-12 games and reduced to 6 but a year wont surprise me.

Honestly, I think a lot comes down to how much they believed Watson when he spoke to them......and did he show any type of remorse.

I guess to be fair, they may have thought prosecution was a dead end.

More often I'm hearing from those on the other side saying if he's innocent no way he'd settle. That seems like a crock, too. First, it depends how much. In addition, with someone with his amount of money maybe he'd rather just have it go away (which it will) and not spend the next 2-3 years in court.

There's no doubt that not all crimes are the same. If I came off like I was implying that my bad, that wasn't my intension.
