Yes please. Andre Dillard blows and was a wasted pick.

Hunt says he wants to retire as a Brown, so we will see. I guess to let Chubb’s career extend out further they could just use a 2 RB system. I thought he would be a trade candidate this season but idk I could see an extension too

Watson might get a full season suspension.
Yeah or he might get 8-10. At this point nobody know but I do know whatever he gets he is appealing. People thinking this is going to be more than a year aren’t thinking clearly though. NFLPA could push for no suspension but I highly doubt that happens. Somewhere in the middle

The Browns were expecting a year, that’s why the first year salary in the contract was so low.

I think the NFL suspends him for a year, then it's a matter of what it gets reduced to on appeal.

I wonder if they’ll consider him missing all of last year or if they’ll chalk that up as a holdout due to a contract dispute.

Was wondering about that too. I'd bet the NFLPA will try to use ''he's already sat out a year'' to as part of their argument. It'll be interesting to see if the NFL buys it.

It depends on what the Texans report as to why he sat. If they were at least receptive to a guy with the public relations problem staying away he can get credit for “time served” so to speak. But if their side of the story was, we would have played him if he reported then it’s unlikely they consider that.

His base salary in 22 is barely a million
its the same with Denzel Ward's extension. Its typical of teams to convert most of the first year into bonus money that can be amortized for cap purposes for the entire length of the contract.

The NFLPA would be wise to steer clear of this one

I'm not sure they can since he is still part of the NFLPA. From what I understand, filing an appeal is pretty much automatic. I suppose they could decide that they don't want to fight very hard for him and just agree to a small reduction.

Maybe something like...the NFL says 16 games, the NFLPA says time served, the NFL says okay, 12 games and the NFLPA accepts that and moves on.

One thing I think is going to be interesting in this is that there are reports that the other owners are very unhappy with the Browns giving him that fully guaranteed contract and are likely to back a harsh punishment. That might effect how much the NFL is willing to negotiate.
