I would never have the balls to turn that down. Crazy.

Yeah just insane. And these contracts are the reason I can afford a really good seat to any pro games on a regular basis. Last time I went to Denver to see the Celtics play the Nuggets I was in about the 18th row. Seats were close to $100 a piece. Fuck that.

I have no idea

Apparently last month during an interview he refused to answer if he's vaxxed. Which to me means he's not. If he was vaxxed he'd say he was.

"Being there" just doesn't have the same appeal to me anymore. I like the comfort of my home. I don't like peeing in filthy restrooms. I don't like overpriced food and beer. I like getting replays and great camera angles of all the action. It's like a once-a-year novelty for me. Shit, the last few baseball games I've gone to, my guys and I didn't really sit in our seats. We sat in the bar in left-center field and watched the game from there.

I know exactly what you're saying. Which is why I haven't gone to a game since the '17-'18 season. But I never bought food or beverages at any games.

Been to a few Rockies game, probably 6 or 8 in 13 years. Don't remember the exact number. The ones I did drink at liked walking around the stadium during the game. Did that at Cleveland Baseball Team games all the time. Buy a nose bleed seat and wander around the ball park instead.

But the comfort of home can't be beat. And making your own gameday grub is better & much cheaper.

To be fair, I'm pretty sure it works the other way. As revenue goes up then the salaries go up.

Yeah, my brother even has season tickets for the Bills and he only goes to a few games a year and sells the rest of the games. I go to one every few years, usually with him when his wife doesn't want to go lol. We go to one baseball game a year typically (local AAA Red Wings, going next Saturday).

free/close parking at home, too, and if a night game can go right to bed as opposed to an hour or 2 later when I get home.

Yeah...I'm old.

Had to look it up but he's 29. But injuries kinda define his career. Only twice has he played at least 75 games in a season.
Seems like a lot to turn down at his age with his injury history. As mentioned, maybe he just doesn't want to stay in NY?

Doesn't change the fact good seat at games are expensive.

There could be that as well. Don't really know anything about Judge.

So random. Crossing the street? Da fuq?

Well Schefty on sportscenter now and it sounds different. Seems like it took place on a highway and he got out of a car and ended up getting hit....not the first time i heard of this when someone got out of their car on a highway then another car hit him

That makes more sense. I have a friend from HS who is lucky to be alive from an incident trying to change a flat tire on a highway.

Yep getting out of the car anywhere near a highway is risky stuff. This is so sad
