I was coaching at Viewpoint Academy for 2 years and then shit.....I don't know how years later was covering a HS football game and a former player approached me and said Hi. Told me he was at an Ivy League school.

Pretty cool.

Yep. Love running into former players. Last week at mass, had my first DE on my first team and another guy who would go on to play TE for Army both there with their families. Makes you proud to see them do well knowing that you were a piece of a successful journey.

Yeah, pretty cool when that happens. I was in line at a local pizza place awhile back and I hear "Hey Coach". Turn around and it's a former player. Has his own sports training business, doing well for himself.

Should surprise nobody here.....I was the over the top coach who on road games on the bus.....would be hollering, "Everywhere we go....." and then the kids responding, "People wanna know" me: "Who we are." Over and over. Get them jacked up for the game.

I was always pretty calm. The only time I even got a tech was when I was coaching my team in a summer league game and told a ref who had made a couple of calls I didn't like to stop taking his bad hair day out on my team.

Possible that the fact that he had a really bad combover and the parents, etc. from both teams started laughing, may have had something to do with it. lol

The AFC West is loaded and we have a nice offensive core in Adams, Renfrow, Waller and Jacobs.

And we upgraded the defense with Chandler Jones.
