Now, this year is a bit of an anomaly because there was no single dominant team.

But really makes you think about how wrong it was to ever not have a playoff.

Neither of these teams would have made the 4.

Now, 2 big issues to fix for next year:

1: just seed the teams how they are ranked. No Auto byes

2: just too long a time between the last game these teams play and the quarterfinal round. Pretty big disadvantage to the team with the bye that hasn’t played in over a month against a team that played a week and half ago.

Got to find a way to shorten those windows. Shouldn’t be that hard.

Can’t believe Smith has 1 catch for 3 yards

They were bracketing him like UM did....but still could have thrown another up to him at least on one of those 3rd and longs.

IF I was to question the coaching might have been opposite of UM complaints.....needed to throw less. Well, run more. seemed like they stopped running after 1st drive in 2nd half (or maybe 3rd drive). And the run worked on that 1st drive.

I thought we'd either lose a close one or blow them out. Did not have faith in Howard late with game on line. But he and the O came through.....and of course the D at the GL.

It's an even easier fix but cannot be done in time for next year.

Make it 16 teams. Would be done in same amount of weeks as the 12 teamer but no byes. Add a couple bowls to the mix.
