Interesting. If I understand what I've read and heard correctly, they don't officially lose their "power conference" designation until 2026-'27. They need to get to 8 to officially be a conference. Will the addition of those 4 schools and 2 more similar schools be enough for them to keep their designation?
Also, is it at all possible that they could entice one or 2 of the schools that left to come back? Maybe the Arizona schools or Cal and Stanford? Or do they go after programs like BYU, UNLV, or a couple of Texas schools like UTEP or North Texas (among others).
