I watched the Ted series this weekend, decent but really seems more like live action Family Guy at times.
Yeah, all of Seth MacFarlane’s projects are variations of Family Guy, all similar humor. 10 Million Ways to Die in the West was basically Western live action family guy. The Orville was sci-fi live action family guy. It’s pretty obvious his cartoon endeavors are just derivations of family guy as well.

I still think they’re all decent enough for chuckles here and there.

The Ted series even uses the transition music from Family Guy (when they show outside shot of the house to change scenes for example).

I’m sure he receives criticism for being unoriginal with a lot of his material, but he’s made a killing with it, he can laugh all the way to the bank.

The Bills might to want to go in a different direction.

Fire Sean McDermott and bring in BB. Since they cannot get over the proverbial hump.

But the analytics depend on how much time is left in the game, too, as well as the score.

See…

That is where it doesn’t make sense.

If a 2 point conversion yields 1.1 expected points and an extra point yields .94…

You go for 2.

Now, if you have a beast kicker and a mediocre offense, you need to adjust percentages and it may work out to kick more often.

But less time on the clock does not make the 2 a better strategy when you are down 14.

Guessing some who are smarter than us disagree. Thinking maybe because at the end of the game like that you know you need 2 TDs to win. Early in the game you never know what you are going to need.

Though wont surprise me if down the road someone decides to just go for 2 every time (unless it just makes no sense, like you score late and just need 1 for the lead).

Doesn’t make sense.

Early in the game should go for whatever offers most expected points.

Hilarious. The guy that just coached them to 6 straight wins and a narrow loss to the Chiefs despite missing half of his defense is not to blame.

BB is a fossil on the quick decline to the senior center.

I'm not trusting those stats. How many of those 2 pt attempts were from the 1 yard line instead of the 2?

Devils advocate, if the 2 pt make percentage is greater than 50 percent doesn’t that make the expected points greater than 1?

Yes.

That is my point.

So if coaches are following the math and the logic, they should go for 2.

Yet for some reason they are more traditional until the end of the game when down by 14.

Doesn’t make sense.

General logic and math doesn't necessarily apply to specific franchises/game situations though. Depends a lot on the offense in question, the defense, etc.

Totally agree.

Each team needs to make their own calculation based on the skill of their players.

It does, you just don't want to hear their logic. At the end they know they need 2 TDs for a chance to win the game. In the beginning they likely feel like the other team will score again, some FGs will be involved by each team, etc. and not as willing to pass up the sure (or more sure) point

Yep. Also, if you go for 2 early in the game and don't get it...you potentially put yourself in a position of having to spend the rest of the game chasing points.

If that happens, the Chargers would have to be among the favorites for the Super Bowl. They have everything they need except the coach. If memory serves, 7 of their losses were by 3 points or less.
More importantly hurts UM.....hey, that's even good for you now.
