How does it not make sense? I mean, if 55% of 2 point conversions are converted means there's a decent chance to convert one of 2.....and not like an XP cannot be missed. Get the first and score again you win the game.

I am all for going more often on 4th down.

I just don’t like this play in this situation specifically.


Since 2 pointers are more valuable analytically, then teams should just go for 2 as their base decision and take the 1 situationally when time and score call for it.

Doesn’t make sense to me to make the analytically play at the end of the game when everything hangs in the balance if you not going to do it early.

But the analytics depend on how much time is left in the game, too, as well as the score.

SF is an all star team.

They have a ridiculous amount of weapons on both sides of the ball.

Deebo has to be healthy though. He is their heart and soul.

Does seem Shanahan and that O struggles a little when missing a key piece.

Have to say that stat they kept showing was a shocker.....something like 0-31 entering the 4th down 5 or more? Obviously got a W but that was still a big surprise. Guessing even my team won 2-3 just this season under those circumstances and even maybe the worst coach I ever saw - Freddie - got one.

Not trying to rip the guy as he has had some bigtime success....but surprising.

I tried True Detective as many recommended. I'm usually quick to give up on shows (with so many options). Only made it through 2 episodes. worth going back?
