Saw someone on fanduel won nearly 15k. Went with 5 dogs ML and 1 favorite ML. $100 bet

The NFC East sucks, so every team is live.

But the Giants definitely aren’t going to be very good.

They have invested too much in skill positions that frankly don’t matter if you don’t have the line play and the QB.
Yes Denver was my play of the week because of it. I think the Giants have a legit shot this week because of the Redskin QB situation.

This will be Daniel Jones last year starting. Giants dropped the ball big time with that big. It was a reach and he ended up being bad as most assumed he would.

Yep I hated that pick when they made it. He is a turnover machine and no awareness in the pocket.

So no fine for the K.C. coach that pushed a Browns player? If the league does nothing it'll happen again. Is that the message they wanna send, that it's okay for coaches to push opposing players?

The Browns should consider adding James Harrison to the coaching staff just so he can hit opposing players when they step onto the Browns sideline.

I am trying to explain to you what he meant by the comment.

And yes, game managers can throw deep too. Most of the shots for a player like that get set up off play action and rarely come from those plays where the defense knows he is throwing.

I have not watched Baker nearly as much as you have, but from what I have seen, he tends to struggle when the run game isn’t clicking, or isn’t available due to situation.

His stats when playing from favorable script does not in any way prove that he is more than a game manager. Baker was in those favorable spots for almost the entire game until the last possession or two.

So maybe he is an elite game manager?
Honestly, it just seems the term game manager gets thrown around a lot. Often at QBs someone wants to throw shade on. Used to be the ultimate game manager QB was Trent Dilfer and how he "led" the Ravens. Baker is nothing like Dilfer. If anything, it used to be the complaints on Baker were for things he did that were the opposite of being a game manager. Took too many chance, for instance.

Guy is one of the best deep ball passers and make a number of throws downfield. Doesn't scream game manager to me. Doesn't mean he has or will reach elite status but this attempt to knock him just doesn't add up from what I see in him. I think the term better describes, say, Brady, much better than it does baker.....and that's not a knock on Brady.

lol

That was one of the first things someone suggested after it was announced.

Another suggestion, and I agree with it, is that Bohn's first call should be to Matt Rhule to see if he's happy in Carolina and go from there.
Guessing he is, but doesn't hurt to find out. Have to think Matt Campbell will get a call. Hell, maybe even call Riley. Not sure where he's from but if Southern CA have to think there might be interest. Not a bad gig.

,All QB's are game managers to some degree. Being able to "manage" the game is the most basic part of a QB's job. To me, what separates them is what happens when they are forced to go off script. Can they consistently still make the play? Or at least make something positive happen like a Mahomes, Wilson or Rogers?

Or does he consistently struggle when he has to go off script?

From what I've seen of Baker so far, I don't think he's "there" yet. But I think it's possible for him to get there. If nothing else, he doesn't lack for confidence and that's a big part of it, imo.
I think that's a good description. when it comes to Baker, it's his critics who so often use that term and I think they might be using it wrong (for some reasons you say).

seems many forget he has won games late. Huge win against Cinci last year. Bad D, sure, but the guy played far better than anyone else did against them. As a rookie, led comeback, GW drives against Bmore and Denver. To a lesser extent the Jets in his first start. Led one even under worst coach ever against Buffalo, if memory serves. Has also led what could have been GW drives against TB and Oakland as a rookie and Bmore last year.....but the D couldn't do their job.

Is he "there" yet? If we are talking Mahomes, Brees, Rodgers at their best? Nope. and might never get there....but if he can be near the top of the next level I'd take it (and think he can).

Lol it’s all good. Quite honestly I’m still not sold on Jackson at all
saw a lot of the game and agree. as a passer he leaves a lot to be desired. Even his short passes were not very accurately thrown and does not throw downfield all that much.

Could have taken Allen over a RB, too.

We Gotta change your whole focus bro. The desire shouldn’t be “give me some upsets”. It should be “send me some winners”. Don’t try and get it all at once. Doesn’t work that way. Calculated risk. Patience. Slow and steady wins the race.

(And I’m also the guy who had 22 prop plays on NFL opening weekend, haha. Do as I say, not as I do.

Yeah the term game manager doesn't really make sense for Baker or a lot of QB's bc the scheme is revolved around a running game and great OL play. I've seen Baker win games bc of his arm plenty of times. I mean if it wasn't for his arm in that KC game...they would be toast. He made a lot of perfect throws but people go look at the box score and say "No TD's and he threw 29 times in this day and age" = game manager. Sure he is a game manager some games, some games he isn't but like Trojan said a lot of QB's have to be game managers. Even the greats do as well. Is he going to throw for 500 yards and 4TD's as often as Mahomes? Nope but we seen him do it. Really isn't even the point, Baker is not a game manager but there are times were he definitely can be when the running game is working. Like you said, Brady was labeled the greatest game manager for a long time and some people thought his success was bc of Bill Belichick and his scheme.
