they need to do away with early signing period.
They need to hurry up and get to where they are going, 64 team fully professional league, scholarships optional for players that want to get a degree, 2 conferences (Big 10 and SEC), then the rest of the sports can go back to regional conferences and amateurism.

The main problem here is money, those 64 schools and especially the big guns (Michigan, OSU, Bama, etc) depend on that money so they have to still be involved.

they ain't doing the pro part but I do believe we will see the top 80 or so break away from the rest.

a lesser brand of football wouldn’t be nearly as successful without the college theme in my opinion. The NFL is going to continue to get free player development because of it.

Why not? They already kind of are now, paying players, letting them move around, etc.

College theme stays though. Same stadiums, teams, colors, rivalries, histories. They just make it official. All y'all will root for OSU and OU and ND and Bama just as hard in the new 64 team pro league.

I think some variation of that is coming. Every athlete on campus will get paid $30k a year or whatever and the rest will be made up with school funded NIL deals as the market commands.

this is yes.

but because of title 9 they have to be equal even though it's ridiculous.

I guess I’m the only one that thinks punching the ball should be outlawed. The forearm that was thrown to dislodge that ball from Njoku would break the arm of a normal person. I know it’s a rough sport but damn, if you miss with one of those and break a guys ribs is it not even a penalty?

Yep but only the football athletes. And they won't even require them to take classes, the ones who know they want to go pro for example. The ones that want to can take classes in spring and finish up after their 4 years of college/pro are over or whatever.

I don't have all the details but this is definitely going to happen.
