I slotted them as 2nd best right now because neither Jacksonville nor the Chiefs (the clear next in line) haven’t been all that impressive either.

I'd say one could put Miami anywhere from 2nd to 5th. I mean, based on what they have done so far I guess they should be 2nd......but I would pick KC and Buffalo ahead of them to win if they played.

I have already said I agreed with your notion that rookie deal is a huge factor. But teams have been wrong on what is a huge talent upgrade before....and we don't even know if they consider it a huge upgrade or even one at all.

But even if not an upgrade or a strong maybe I'd take Williams because of the rookie deal.......unless they think Fields is about to become a superstar.

If they can't commit to that 5th year option by the end of the season, they need to take Caleb (or their preference of QB, but if it isn't Caleb maybe they shouldn't go QB lol?)

Of course.....IF they think highly of Fields it's a no-brainer to either sign him to that 5th year option OR draft a QB they think will be better.

I'm of the opinion that signing Fields to big money is a no-brainer of a different sort.

I don't see them trading for an active QB, seems like a weird move. Again, the salary is a big issue if not availability.

Dawand Jones had knee surgery yesterday and his season is over- and Jed Wills had knee surgery today and his season is over.

The Browns top 3 tackles have now all had their seasons ended. I cant say I ever remember something like that happening before to have your top 3 tackles all out for the year.
