I'm more of a fan of 8 yes

I think they went 12...honestly because of fucking G5 teams and it just further illustrates why the power conferences need to break away.

They did 12 to create an extra week and a bye for the top 4 teams. More money plus it lets them give a spot to a mid major. I like 12.

Also I believe 12 is what it took to get OU and Texas to move. They had basically a guarantee it was going to 12 before they moved.

I guess in theory the winner could play as many as 17 games. 12 plus a ccg plus as many as 4 playoff games if you are a 5-12 seed. They don’t care, people getting paid now. The old these guys need time for class was akways bs anyway.

They need to go full pro league and detach football from the rest of the NCAA so swimmers and water polo players don't have to fly cross country twice a week. Keep the colors and schools and all that but just make football a separate semi-pro league like AAA baseball.

Be different if they had been just outscoring people but that defense is legit
