Pipe dream IMO. He would need time to ramp up, so maybe you get him for December? Is he really going to give up his bachelor free time to play in Cleveland? Can't see it. If he had more time to prepare, maybe?

I don't think it's at all likely which is why I haven't mentioned it.

Just saying it's the perfect opportunity for him to jump into a playoff run one last time. But It's like a 5 percent chance at best

this is why I didn't even want to mention it. I think it's absurd. I think "best" they could do is Ryan. He was very mediocre last year but mediocre is a massive step up from PJ Walker.

like I said now that Watson is done done Cleveland becomes more attractive to a Matt Ryan type to come out of retirement to start. Or they look at a Trevor Simien type

PJ Walker is awful.

I'd definitely prefer seeing more of DTR than Simein.

If DTR shits the bed I'd at least contact Ryan or even Brady and maybe Rivers (though he's been out since 2020 I think).

DTR is awful and doesn't have much experience. Didn't Walker at least lead them on a game winning drive or 2 in those 3 wins? Pretty sure he did. You ain't getting that from DTR.

how, exactly would you know that? Not that he can be Purdy but you think anyone thought they could get anything from Purdy last season? Guy doesn't even play if Lance doesn't get hurt.

Dobbs has been pretty good with the Vikings thru 2 games. His games with the depleted Cards are a bit tougher to use for comparison.

Can only go by what they did on the field and Watson was really good in his last 3 healthy games. Hell, he was even really good in the 2nd half of a game he was hurt.

Maybe Brady and Rivers aren't but the other vets would be better options than Mond.

It was a freak accident but even with Purdy Buffalo had a better chance to beat SF than the top AFC teams.
