I think there are more corners that could play wr than the other way around. You have to be a special athlete to flip the hips and react in order to be a corner.
I agree, but I do expect there are some that become DBs because they can’t catch the ball very well,

You think if someone walked up to Jokic and congratulated him on a world championship he would correct him/her?

sure seems like baseball has been big in Japan as long or longer than basketball in other countries....yet no uproar about calling MLB final series the WORLD series?

No.

But I think if you asked Jokic who the World Champ is he would refer to the winner on September 10th, and not the Nuggets.

MLB, NBA exactly the same concept. Both are wrong. The quote just happened to use the NBA as the example. And that has been the context of the conversation here because you know, these are basketball boards.

Yes and no.

I think both are nuanced in their own way and require different athletic traits to be special at the position.

I agree that corner is harder.

Just think there is a lot more to it than what Keyshawn and Irving trying to make it about.

Not the best look for the Angels, total salary dump. They should have traded Ohtani obviously.

Yeah, it's kind of a "hindsight is 20/20" thing, imo.

They had to weigh what they could gain from having Ohtani on their roster for the rest of the season (him possibly hitting 50 home runs in an Angels uni, possibly making the playoffs) vs. what trading him could do for their future with the assets they'd get back (I read that the Dodgers were prepared to send a lot of top prospects their way).

There was also belief that Trout would be back sooner. If things worked out, all of that could have been good for their franchise. It looked for minute like they might have made the right call as they went on a little bit of a win streak and put themselves into the wildcard race.

Then, the wheels came off...they started losing again, Trout didn't come back and Ohtani's hurt now.

The decision just wasn't as cut dried at the time as it looks now.

No far from cut and dried, but wow it couldn’t have worked out any worse for them. Now they are cutting proven major league players for a 1 month salary dump benefit. Stuff like this could affect outcomes in the playoffs, but I guess it’s not illegal.

I find myself watching replays of games sometimes and my family is unaware it's not a live game....I'm freaking nostradamus calling the winners :dhd:
Even better I’ve won money at a poker table betting on a boxing match that apparently only I knew was a rerun lol. I gave it back and had a good laugh.

lol

No doubt. Talk about something going as wrong as possible. I can't imagine a worse scenario.
