Hasn't happened to me, but I know someone personally that it happened to.

It didn't necessarily "ruin" his life either. But he would tell you that it definitely ruined that portion of his life.

For you to essentially tell others that it's not a big deal "he'll be fine" "didn't ruin his life", etc. comes off as pretty callous. Unless it has happened to you, you don't know.

And yes...it's semantics.

Additionally, unless and until he is actually picked up by a team (which, to my knowledge, hasn't happened) we don't know if it has ruined his chances in the NFL or not.

I did not say it isn’t a big deal.

Of course it is.

Saying it ruined his life is just as extreme as if someone said it is no big deal.

Neither statement is true.

You said that "he'll be fine" and "it didn't ruin his life" and told others they were overreacting. That is "essentially" (which I said) saying it isn't a big deal.

The fact is, outside of him missing out on at least 1 NFL season and the money that would have come with it...none of us have any idea how this has affected his life.

I know one thing though, I'd bet he'd say it's ruined the past year or so of his life.

What effect it has going forward remains to be seen.

Totally agree with the last 2 paragraphs

Ruined a year. Net effect moving forward remains to be seen.

Extreme overreaction to say it ruined his life.

I think the board pretty much decided who was right about that one
Not sure I agree with him entirely, but his opinion has merit........he's certainly correct in saying there is a major difference in those 2 cases.

We will revisit this once it has played out.

Terrible situation nobody should have to endure.

But if he lets this truly ruin his life?

That is on him.

Because I have seen examples of many people who have bounced back from far worse and not let it ruin their lives.

This schedule looks soft. Honestly no reason to not win 11-12 games

I assume the NFL did great numbers last year for that MNF double header because they are using it 3x this year
