Nope 1 throw over and that's itYou really can’t hold runners on anymore.

Also, pitch clock makes it easier to time up a pitcher as well.Nope 1 throw over and that's it

Not a great big fan so far as Phil’s pitching has given up 27 runs in the first two games. So weird. The Rangers are a dog shit organization and going back like 9 years they’re 11-0 vs the Phillies haha. All good things as offense took a shit. Stolen bases are exciting.
These are good changes.
He’s 32 lol. Last season was his best year his career so they would have to wait a long time which isn’t likely in baseball. Basically a minor league caliber guy that seems to to breaking out late in his career. Maybe he is the next RA Dickey lolDude came up with the White Sox, I knew he'd be good wish they'd kept him
Now if guys could only learn to hit againAll good things as offense took a shit. Stolen bases are exciting.

Agree. I wasn’t sure about the rule at first but watching games early I don’t have to spend 3+ hours watching a game. As much as I love baseball I don’t think this is hurting the product of the game or even tilting it dramatically to favor offense. The Indians just played 2 out of 3 games where the run total was 5 combined. Only thing I could see maybe tweaked is innings 7-9 maybe pitchers have more time with runners on base. Those pressure situations but I haven’t seen enough of those situations to know if that will be a problem.I just think with analytics and pitchers using foreign substances and taking so long etc the fun has been sucked out of the game to a degree. For purists...maybe a 3 plus hr game is amazing.
Offense is up...time is down
I think these are good things.

Even baseball fans will say baseball is slow. This faster face might encourage non-baseball fans to start watching more games. I love the rule.
Yep, both those things killed the game but I think the shift rule we will eventually see the game tilt back to once it was before.Analytics broke them too. With shifts and long ball analysis they basically told them a HR or K is the way to go
We have lost stealing bases, bunting, opposite field hitting etc
Going to take a minute to get it somewhat normal again

I love the shift rule and timer. Pretty refreshing
Agreed. I was very happy to see the commish bad mouthing analytics.Analytics broke them too. With shifts and long ball analysis they basically told them a HR or K is the way to go

Randy Johnson would average at least 15 Ks a game now days.I feel like guys who are huge shift proponents didn't play a lot of high level baseball. I was never much to talk about but I hit like 275 against the average pitchers and was straight trash against the five best guys in HS.
I can only imagine what facing Max Scherzer is like and then ON TOP of that have the infield set up where you're going to hit the ball if you even make contact lol.
Fuck that lol

RidiculousIf you don't see another stat see this one
Batting average on ground balls up the middle by year (about as good a "hit" as you can have that travels through the infield)
- 2014: .344 avg
- 2015: .312 avg
- 2016: .337 avg
