Few talked about it after the game. It was Jay Wrights play they used to beat NC in the national title game. However, the set up guard wasn’t Ryan Archidiacono so he didn’t take his penetration deep enough to set up the catch and shoot closer. Despite the distance, your players train the muscle memory on that. I favor the muscle memory over getting the closer distance. For that reason, I say good play, great shot execution, if there’s a flaw it’s in the lead guard not taking his penetration deeper to set it up.
The guy was 2-7 from 3 while Timme was 16-24. Down 2 I could maybe see it but down 1?

That’s fair. I’m assessing the play itself and not even thinking about other things he could have gone to. I think when you’re looking for a last shot the Big isn’t necessarily the best option. They’re easier to double and make life difficult. Harder to do on the perimeter without giving up a free man that’s easier to find. I like the advantage Timme presents on the crash of the glass in case it’s a miss. The scramble play off the offensive rebound probably gets him a better look than what he could have gotten in a play called for him.

Your point is a solid one though. Dude is an All Time NCAA tournament performer. It’s always a great play to say I’m going to battle with my best guy.

Exactly.....could also understand if they had 5-6 seconds. But they had time to at least if they could get Timme open.

In the end it worked.....honestly, more perplexing was not deliberately missing the FT. That seems like a no brainer.

Yeah, the AFC is gonna still be the better conference...

Looked at the Chiefs'schedule and I'm thinking 12 wins minimum...
Wife is y'all are letting people walk, especially Schuster and Hardman.

MVS is your best WR right now....followed by Toney and Moore is your 3rd? Might want to go get OBJ or draft a WR.

The Orlando Guardians are 0-6 and the worst team in the XFL.

Wonder if Terrell Buckley is on the hot seat as the HC.
