Just my opinion but I think he decides before FA opens.....on Wed.

I hope he makes a decision quickly.

But I wouldn't be surprised if he drags this out and takes his time.

I can see him explaining in stupid detail to that douchebag Pat McAfee why he has a difficult decision on his hands. Maybe AR12 can gobbled down more hallucinogens and think about it for a couple of days.

He either retires or agrees to a trade by Wed. Just a hunch.

We have a long history posting together and we both know I am NEVER wrong.

LOL.

In all seriousness, I just think he decides sooner than later.

And knows about what others think about him and will decide by the time FA opens.

At this point the only thing to be decided is who overpays for him this season. $60M?

Only half of Jones was guaranteed. About 70 percent for Gino, Seattle didn’t have to go that high.
If Watson plays as expected does it matter it's all guaranteed? The Browns will gladly pay it and he'll be underpaid by the 2024 season.

Is he though? Way early to declare that. It’s understandable to say that Watson has to shake off the rust because he didn’t play for 2 years to explain away a mediocre 5 game finish to the season. It may have just been working out the kinks. Or he’s not the same guy he was 3 years ago. It remains to be seen.
That's all fair..........but the guarantee portion is overblown IMO as IF he plays as hoped the Browns will be glad to pay it. If he doesn't? OK, that's a problem. But that would have been a problem for us no matter how much was guaranteed.

I get it. He ruled out Cleveland (or his agent leaked that) and the Browns had to go to that level to get back in it. However, the fact remains, this set a precedent in the market.

You don’t like McAfee? I think he’s really entertaining. I catch his show a couple of times a week on my commute.

No disagreement there......and I'm glad my team didn't care and got the guy they wanted.

I have watched a lot of basketball in my life and have never seen a team get eye gouged multiple times in the same season. Garland had it bad earlier this season and since has been poked on his same eye 5-6 times. Now Allen. Very strange

Wow this umpire should be fired. Obviously the ump was mad he complained on the pitch earlier. This is so bad

Sounds like he will het fired.

Umps/refs absolutely face consequences when they don’t do their jobs well.

People here just assume they don’t because the discipline isn’t made public in all but the most egregious cases.

I’m glad it’s changed some. This isn’t MLB but remember how strong that umpires union used to be?

I was at a party yesterday with Eric Gregg’s son. He married my 2nd cousin. Yesterday was the family St Patrick’s Day party. Got to see my brother, my sister, my brother-in-law, and my 72 year old father play Irish music together. Don’t know how many more St Patrick’s Days I have left with the old man playing. We’re going to see them again at (get this) an Italian American club on Friday. Haha. I busted my dad’s balls about it and of course he hit me with “Well, St Patrick was Italian until he got wise and went to Ireland. I’m there for conversions.” Haha
