I will never say bad calls don’t happen.

Just not going to say pro officials are bad at their jobs.

I have seen bad officiating. I think some on here would blow their brains out if they had to watch a game featuring a poorly graded high school crew.

I know you have coached.

But, have you been a ref as well?

Im sure it isn’t a easy job.

I put it up there with being a cop or teacher.

Thankless jobs.

Couldn’t pay me enough money to do them in today’s climate.

As fans we don’t give a f who gets it right, just get it right. A lot of times the ref is just the middle man for frustration at the league. Get it right.

Tucker is so good that even though I’m a Ravens fan I find myself rooting for him to get long fg attempts so I can watch him hit another one.

I reffed kids rec ball leagues when I was in high school, intramurals in college, and when I used to work basketball camps you always end up reffing when your team is not playing.

So mostly pretty low level.

Although, I did get to ref a couple of John Wall’s games at 5 star camp. That was fun.

Again: I don’t think any of us are anti-ref.

If complaining on a message board helps someone decompress, I don’t see the harm in it.

I don’t see anyone up in arms on 50 50 calls ever. If all someone cares about is if it benefits their team then I’m right there with you, shut up already. But there are a lot of fans that just want it right. The nfl has done a lot, now it’s time for more and the nba definitely has work to do.

But, winning and losing should be determined by the players.

I don’t like to see anyone get cheated out of something they worked hard for.

I will give the nba credit for one thing, they don’t seem to double talk like the nfl does. They amazingly admit bad calls, while seemingly not having any kind of a plan to correct things. It’s a mystery.

Same except maybe in the playoffs. I can count on one hand how many times i mentioned the refs with the heat this season...probably 3 times at max and they are about to play game # 45 tomorrow

In the end, if the worst thing you do in life is complain about something you care about, In a medium built just for that purpose I might add, I think you are ok lol.

It is when people try to say the officials are bad at what they do for a living.

Only way it is getting significantly better than it is is figuring out how to efficiently use technology to correct calls made in live action.

Because we have decades of evidence that pro officials often miss calls.
