Have to say while perusing the standings the AL Central gets a bad rap as the worst division (by far according to some). Is it? seems the NL Central is for sure worse. Could argue the AL West is on par, especially if you are Houston, the division leader.
Definitely hasn't been one of the worst in the past but this year it is definitely in the running. Either 1st or 2nd worst division imo

Indians are a young team overachieving.
Twins seem to be nothing but a decent team at best.
White Sox underachieving and big disappointment or their expectations are just too high.
The Royals and Tigers are pretty bad.

"In the running" seems fair.....but there are many who claim it's the worst by far and that's just not the case. My vote would be NL Central.

Has anyone been watching Season 6 of Better Call Saul? am I the only one who has found the last 2-3 episodes a tad boring? Hoping it leads to a much better finale.

Yeah it’s definitely the worst of the divisions. Given a similar schedule the Cardinals and Brewers would both win the AL Central if they were slotted there.

The Cards and Brewers will likely run away with the NL Central, too. Guess what........Put the Twins/Tribe in their place in the NL Central and they would easily finish 1 and 2.

How is it "definitely the worst" when the 5 teams in the AL Central combine for 262 wins and the 5 in NL combine for 257 and the AL is a tougher league overall so AL Central has a tougher schedule. 3rd-5th place in NLC have a worse record than 4 of the 5 in ALC.

very strange.

its funny- 2 of my lawyer buddies and me all watch and talk about it- because honestly- its probably the most accurate portrayal of the law in so many ways (Kim, HHM, Kims old boss)---

but yes- the last episode was not bad with Kim re-appearing- but the previous 2 were just like standalone episodes- so weird for the back half of the last season.

Want to know my prediction for the last episode?

Definitely disagree......I would say they are pretty equal but the AL Central is slightly better. Chicago has majorly underachieved- Many had them as a top 5 team pre-season and they could still make a run.

Twins spent a ton of money and brought in a bunch of guys- especially post deadline. Guardians of course have overachieved.

Brewers have Burnes and Woodward - and good RP - but their offense is pretty lame.

Cardinals SP is pretty lame. Bullpen is not great- Hensley emerging has helped a little. Cardinals do have the best offense.

Pirates, Cubs, Reds - bottom of the division is a joke. I dont know how you can say they would win more games when they are only 2 bad teams in the AL Central.

If we can just get it in color I'll be happy.

My Reds are getting ready to pounce, I just don’t know when.
2-3 years.....they did do great at the deadline to improve the future. They have 2 great position player prospects now.

I think Marte and De La Cruz are both best at 3rd base though......not sure either has the body type to hang at SS long term....maybe move one to 2nd base.

I mean- how else would this show end? It is going to be Saul/Jimmy in the court room defending himself one last time. That is what I think anyway....we shall see.
sounds good...another Walt/Jessie appearance would be nice, too. and Mike.

out of those 5 bad teams in the 2 divisions- the Reds and Cubs are just so talentless.

Tigers actually have a few guys. Royals too. The Cubs have Happ and Contreras- 2 guys they idiotically did not deal- and basically no trustworthy SP.

Royals have freaking Bobby Witt who is already starting to emerge as a star. Sal Perez at catcher/DH. Melendez at C/OF. KEller has emerged as a solid SP.

Pirates have a few guys too actually - Bednar (who has been injured), Reynolds, ONeil Cruz....

Cubs and Reds are so bad right now.

that would be nice- I liked the Jesse/Kim seen

I do think that the majority of the finale will just be present day though- so no Mike/Walt/Jesse.

Not even sure how one could seriously make the comment he did when the ALC has a higher winning % overall than the NLC.

I don’t really care all that much. It’s a bunch of inconsequential also rans. If you wanna be the second worst division go right ahead.

But there aren’t any good teams in the AL Central either.
