I could see Gallo having a Bellinger postseason hot streak. I mean when you have so many great hitters around you, it xan make you better and you see better pitches. I think this year with New York was just a bad situation. The Dodgers is a better place for him now. Just a luxury for LA

Guardians took over sole possession of first place tonight......I think that is the first time all season unless I am mistaken.

Pretty cool for such a young team that was really not supposed to contend this year.

ESPN picked them as the 20th best team in the Majors preseason

SportingNews picked them last in the division with 67 wins.

most of the other sites pick just division winners---- i could not find one site that had the Guardians higher than 3rd in the division - and most had them 4th or last.

People knock the worth of managers---- but Terry Francona is still maybe the best manager in the game- and the stable front office knows how to put a team together on a small budget.

Also- having an ace in Bieber, a stud closer in Clase, and a perennial high level all star in Jose is a great place to start from.

I cant overstate how valuable Karinchak has been since he has been back healthy. Morgan started faltering after an amazing first half and Karinchak looks like the guy he was from last seasons first half.

I dont know many teams that can throw guys like Karinchak in the 8th and Clase in the 9th. After the more rigid enforcement over stickum for pitchers, and his injury- Karinchak was a huge question mark after his poor finish last year after in incredible first half. Lets hope he has figured it out and stays this good.

If he does- and the Guardians can somehow stave off much bigger payrolls and win-now teams in the White Sox and Twins--- they have a punchers chance with Bieber, McKenzie--- and Karinchak andClase in the 8th and 9th.

People with reply all issues are one of my pet peaves. Don’t expect me to be a middle man, that’s why everyone was on the email to begin with!

The people at our main warehouse are notorious for these. They send out an initial email requesting info from a series of people, then everyone replies all until the order ships. Meanwhile, I needed the first email and none of the follow-ups lol.

Want to hate LA but have to respect an organization that does this:
1. Willing to spend
2. Dedicated to a great farm and development
3. Great decision making.

In closing though, go fuck yourself cause you know anything can happen in a 7 game series. Signed 2010-11 Phillies

Was that the last time the Phillies were relevant? :fencing:

Haha! Yep. They were stacked in 2010 and 11. Clearly the two best rosters of that window. Had best record in the NL twice but got bested in a 7 game series. Baseball is a fickle bitch. 162 games of being elite washed away in a best of 7 series.

It will be interesting. Over the past several games Bellinger and Muncy have looked like they may be starting to figure some stuff out. I wonder if picking up Gallo has anything to do with that?

Just got Justin back from the IL too. Dustin May is nearing a return to the rotation. Things are rounding into shape as they attempt to lap the Padres LOL. Just need Buehler back (and continued improvement from the bullpen).
