with Guards playing the Tigers and the Twins out West against the Dodgers- maybe they take sole charge of first place before the weekend.....we shall see.

Looks like the White Sox just lost Tim Anderson for the season which certainly does not help their chances-- though Lynn and Eloy are back and playing pretty well

wouldve been nice to get just a little help at the deadline--- though ill tell ya- Karinchak getting healthy and in rhythm has been humongous. Guy looks untouchable again.
They can get better return for their prospects this winter than they could at the deadline. Additionally, you don’t really need to add or even want to mortgage any assets to just be the tallest midget in the AL Central. The winner is likely to be one and done anyway in the playoffs.

Yeah no moves really made sense. Still a very young team that will be relying on players/prospects improving. Maybe they could get a higher return if some of their SP's turn it around and sell high in the offseason.

@WiggyRuss makes a good point about the Guardians situation though. They have more prospects worthy of protection than can be squeezed on to the 40 man protected roster. They should be busy this winter trying to get a return on some of those prospects so they don’t end up having to be left unprotected and the Guardians having to part ways for no return.

Yep especially MI's, with Rosario playing well that might be a guy they can sell high.

agree would not have made a move just to make one, but I would also argue the worst Tribe team I saw make the playoffs (1997) was the one who went the furthest. some of the best went down in round 1 (1996, 2017 among others)

Will co-sign this. The 2008 Phillies won the WS. They had a rotation led by Cole Hamels substantiated by Jamie Moyer Brett Myers and Joe Blanton. That was the worst rotation of their run. They had Cliff Lee Roy Halladay Roy Oswalt at different times from 2009-2012 and they didn’t win it all. The reality is that the 2008 bull pen was the best of that run. The bull pen is difference between being in the mix and closing.

Nobody is interested in trading for him; they may be willing to tolerate trading for his expiring contract to get draft assets and some future cap relief.

Teams like the Pacers and Jazz have been at least willing to talk, but the Lakers aren't going to settle until a decision is made with Kyrie.
Yep....there is no rush.

I could see a deal happening early in the season up to the trade deadline....if a deal doesn't happen in the offseason.
