I don’t mind the Guardians talk for one. I like talking sports with PEOPLE. That is the most important variable for me. I love all you bastards even when we disagree. So let the man bring his bull shit here. If it gets some talk then great. If it isn’t your cup of tea just scroll along. But I appreciate talking any sports with you guys and girls. For the most part, you are informed and that’s what matters in a sports conversation.

Also…I’m drunk and high so take that into consideration as you digest this touchy feely shit. Ha za! Wifey had to drive home from beach.
Would add if you want to start a month long OSU-ND preview have at it.

Football!!!!!!

That’s coming for sure! Have to do my homework. Short hand…ND has depth on both sides of the line of scrimmage which allows them to compete in every contest. I want to see them pound the rock. I have no clue what OSU D looks like now but for me, they have to shorten the game and protect an inexperienced QB on the road in a crazy setting. They need to try and make it a week one, defense dominant sloppy affair in order to come out with a victory. I put it at about 10-15% the Irish can compete. About 40% they can cover the 13.5 point spread. Irish need to survive the 2nd Q. Ryan Day teams own the 2nd Q. And of course they need to limit mistakes but that shit is just generic coach speak. I’m just glad that we catch a game like this. I’m excited about the potential of the Freeman era and it’s going to be cool to see him thrown to the wolves and have to match wits with a great staff with exceptional talent and a tough venue. If you want to climb the mountain, you have to compete in spots like this. Would love to see them ahead of schedule.

That being said, think ND is overrated in the coaches poll at 5…unless the scuttle butt is that ND really does have a QB.

Haven’t done my homework but this is said to be Ohio St’s most talented DLine in Day’s tenure. We will see, last year they were super young

lol

This Guardians talk is turning into e-mails at work where people keep hitting "Reply All" and then after a bunch of those people start hitting "Reply All" to tell everyone to stop hitting "Reply All".

Good stuff. Doesn’t surprise me. Is a Larry Johnson Sr still there? That dude has the stuff to turn out DL. All the more reason for Tommy Rees to protect Buchner (new QB). They need to throw that quick game. They need to move the launch point with sprint out stuff and play action. They need to run either/or RPO stuff to help him keep it simple. And the ND stable of backs have to protect because they may need 6 or 7 to keep Buchner clean.

What’s OSU’s secondary look like this year? If I remember correctly, last year was a growing pains year for them back there. So I would expect this year to see them pay dividends on giving young kids time last year.

People with reply all issues are one of my pet peaves. Don’t expect me to be a middle man, that’s why everyone was on the email to begin with!

For sure seems like OSU has a lot more talent this year (at least on O). Week 1, though never know what could happen....props to both schools for setting this up.

Beside...if there are going to be long baseball discussions...shouldn't they be about a good team...like the Dodgers.
Want to hate LA but have to respect an organization that does this:
1. Willing to spend
2. Dedicated to a great farm and development
3. Great decision making.

In closing though, go fuck yourself cause you know anything can happen in a 7 game series. Signed 2010-11 Phillies

with a Bosa and Chase on a team together seems hard to believe but possible. I definitely have concerns about the D....O should be elite.

In fairness....it's the NBA off topic thread. The only banned topic is politics. For goodness sake....superheroes have been discussed on here and nobody lost their shit.

Baseball? It's a sport.

Yes, LJ is still there.

Secondary could struggle early learning the new scheme. Not sure I see #1 studs we are accustomed too yet from this current group

Mainly bc of their guys in the middle. Plus JT, Harrison and Sawyer. They seem to have talent and depth, we will see. JT and Sawyer were both big time 5 stars…same with Harrison

And we even get into politics every once in awhile too.
