And yet you went outta your way with this unnecessary cheap-shot.

Then there's this.

I'm all for talking some trash and having a little fun. It's always a good time. But you can't say you're just trying to have a discussion with some of the things you've said. That's not a discussion. That's you having fun taking shots at the Browns. Which is cool with me. I've taken more than my fair share of shots at them over the years.

Good old Wamu. Everything's fun and games until the mood swings hit. Whatever, lol.

Lol I'm a Chiefs fan obviously so I know what that's like. Til they won another Superbowl fans used to give us crap like Dangerfield...

I actually get a good laugh outta any jokes at the Browns expense. Have for a long time.

But I have a weird sense of humor like that. There's not a team I root for that I haven't talked some trash about at one time or another.

A couple of years this was my business card during the NFL season.

Mood swings? I'm in a great mood. You're the one that seems upset about things.

It's odd how you always try to play the- I'm upset card towards me whenever I say something you don't want to hear.

You commented on something I said without even understanding the context of it. That's how all this started. And now you're trying to say because I responded to you that you've upset me in some way. Are you feeling okay today?

This isn't the first time you've tried to play this game me. When will you learn it's never gonna work?

They’re almost incentivized to do it:
1. Arbitrator rules in favor of NFL’s claim.
2. Arbitrator lays out punishment
3. Length of suspension becomes widely criticized.
4. NFL can be a fraud and pretend to take a stand on sexual assault and assign a higher penalty making it seem like they are really serious about this issue.

The only down side from where they sit on raising the number of games comes in them going back on their word when they said they would respect the outcome of the independent former judge. That won’t play too badly. “At the time, we didn’t realize that we would win the claim and take care of our end, only to find out the length of suspension was too short.”
another downside would be keeping it in the news cycle longer and spending the next year plus in depositions and court rooms.

And, yes, there is a downside for Watson should they appeal and he takes them to court.

There is no impact on the duration of the news cycle in extending the suspension. Whenever the suspension ends, and he plays his first few games as a Brown the story will get recycled to the front pages again. It matters little if that comes after 6 games or 9 game or 12 games or next season. Watson will always be seen as a sexual deviant going forward. His name is permanently besmirched.

You sure? I didn’t realize that I had it but I came to find out yesterday that I have an anti-Cleveland agenda. You may want to check with @dtgold88 for a legitimate diagnosis.
You have an anti Watson agenda...and apparently think your emotional views outweigh the objective views of someone who makes decisions like this for a living.

Goodell and the NFL did it to themselves. They deserve all backlash but it doesn't mean they will change their decision bc of "voices" on social media. If Goodell extends the suspension then he has to hear more about his past fuck up's and that's the last thing he wants.

Dan Patrick said he thinks that Goodell will release a statement saying something along the lines of..."This is the process that we all have agreed to and while we do not agree with the decision, we will abide by the decision"

riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight.
They would have already extended his contract. They also wouldn’t have dealt one of their three 1st round picks in the 2022 draft for a first round pick in the 2023 draft. Their plan is to hedge on Hurts giving him this year to prove himself. If he isn’t the guy, then they have 2 2023 1sts and their 2024 1st to package in order to move up in the QB heavy 2023 draft.

Probably....but once he comes back and plays a couple games talk of this will die down a lot. Then it will be on to the next controversy.

No. This wasn’t a new accusation, Rain Man. You accused me of this similarly when I said that the Kevin Love contract was an albatross and that he was cooked as a player. It’s really hilarious to me because at the end of the day, why would anyone ever harbor hatred for a sports community that is wrought with failure upon failure upon failure.

That would be the hope for a failed football franchise that has sold their soul in an attempt to become relevant.

Not relevant? Ever know another franchise to lose their team and get promised a new one before the old one even left?

Thank you. @Wamu I rest my case. The real Cleveland Browns are in Baltimore. Rain Man just confirmed it. Also…look at the time my friend. Dude abides…

The franchise Graham played for was bought by Art Modell. Art Modell moved the franchise Graham played for to Baltimore. It’s all documented. I would think this would be information a Cleveland football fan would be aware of.
It is documented.

"Modell stunned the pro football world in 1995 when he announced that he would transfer his Cleveland franchise to Baltimore to begin play in 1996.

Determined to keep the team in Cleveland, Browns fans and Cleveland city officials orchestrated an unprecedented grass-roots campaign to block the move. The NFL quickly responded and, working with city officials, developed a unique solution that not only provided for a new state-of-the-art stadium, but guaranteed the return of pro football to Cleveland by no later than 1999. Additionally, Art Modell agreed to relinquish the "Browns" name, colors and team history to the new owner of the suspended franchise."

…and then moved said franchise to Baltimore. Once that original sin of playing in the armpit of America was removed, that franchise went on to win multiple Super Bowls.

I was accused of having an anti-Cleveland agenda which on its face is hilarious. Who would ever take the time to hate the perennial laughing stock of the NFL? The Browns exist so that the rest of the NFL world can garner self esteem by saying, at least we aren’t the Browns. So now we will see what an actual hate Cleveland agenda looks like. You have no idea the level of Cleveland spam I’m going to provide. When you get sick of it, you can just blame Rain Man.
sick of it? You are free comic relief.
