Hoping Brown wasn’t just blowing smoke and actually wants to come back to Denver despite the salary he’d have to take.

He is due 6.8 mill on the player option.....he can come back, play well, and still get paid next summer.

Because, if he opts out to get paid this summer? It will be a much worse team. Why not try and run it back and get paid next summer?

I’d go get my money.

He already got a ring.

I don’t know what I want Harden to do. If it’s Philly though, I hope it’s 3 years 110ish with the Sixers having a team option in the third year. That contract is more than fair. If he wants to break the bank in his last deal and give up getting a ring by going to Houston more power to him. At the same time, if I’m going out in round 2, I would love to get some more aesthetically pleasing basketball than James Harden 1 on 1 ball.

He gone. Even without the new CBA rules, he was going to be out of the Nuggets' price range with his play.

Need a backup PG obviously. Hated that Monte Morris wasn't part of this team. They thought Bones Hyland could have been the answer but all he did was get in the way of a team with higher expectations than the previous season.

Give Reggie Jackson another crack at it? If nothing else he's cheap at this point in his career.

They are about $10M under the 2nd tax apron (including Brown's option) for 10 players (Jokic, Murray, Porter Jr, Gordon, KCP, Brown, Braun, Nnaji, Watson, Cancar). They can use the TPMLE ($5M) and some vet mins to fill out the squad. Not much of note in terms of FAs or cap holds other than the 2 empty roster spot charge ($2.2M).

Who is paying Brown almost 21 mill per?
He can get $16-$18M. It just depends on the market. A desperate team would offer that. He can get $12-$14 from a team not capped out
