I mean he's not lying. Honestly if Spurs eliminated OKC last year, he would still get killed for going to OKC but not nearly as much.

LeBron knows Kyrie is built for a leading role in future

"First of all, I don't know how Kobe and Shaq managed their partnership. All I can know, from the outside looking in, [is] that it didn't work out," James told ESPN. "For me, I see Kyrie growing every single day and wanting to be great. And so me, I just try to give him the blueprint, as much as I can. You know, his experiences, he's going to learn on his own as well, and that's what he should do, but all I can do is give him the blueprint, and that's it. Because he's going to be around a lot longer than me.

"He basically was just waiting for an opportunity to be able to blossom, and I'm just happy and blessed that when I decided to come back that I was able to help him blossom, I guess, because he gets to play in games that he's always been built for," James said after Game 4 of the Boston series. "He was already built for it. His game was built for it, and I'm happy, like I said, to be able to, I guess, sit back with four fouls and see him do what he's always been built to do. He was born for these moments."

Have to give Lebron respect for this. The problems between Shaq and Kobe were because Shaq didn't want to give up the "alpha role" even though he was getting older, like Lebron is preparing for now.

One thing about Lebron is that he is smart. He was smart enough to know when he was starting to lose a little of his explosiveness and started learning post moves and working on improving his jumper. He's also smart enough to know that by gradually turning over the reins to Kyrie, he can prolong his own career.

If Shaq had been smart enough to understand what Lebron seems to...he and Kobe could have probably won 2 or 3 more rings together.

Unfortunately, by the time Shaq figured out what Lebron has figured out, he was already out of the league.

Not sure I agree with the last statement.

Isaiah Thomas (the original) was speaking about LeBron last night and he compared him to Mohammed Ali. Isaiah said Ali was the greatest because of his willingness to take on controversial issues and stand up for what he believed. He had a tremendous impact on people's lives as a result. Jordan, on the other hand, went out of his way to a avoid anything that would soil his corporate image.

LeBron is hated by many because he is real. Ali simply had more charisma. Jordan had the charisma, but his public persona was fake as hell. I do believe that public images and likeabikity for each player absolutely shape the GOAT debate.

MJ was far more likeable even though LeBron is a greater man off the court.
You don't agree because you think Lebron is either better, or equal to , MJ.

He's not.

Yeah, the thing I think some players are starting to realize is that when you make the kind of money these guys make, it's easier to leave money on the table to pursue larger goals.

I mean what can you buy with $250 million that you can't with $200 million? Especially when you have already made multiple millions and have additional millions more coming from endorsements.

I'm not so sure.

Whether the Cavs win by 30 or the Warriors win by 30 or its a close game, I'm not sure we'll know much more about the eventual outcome. Just look at the blowouts on both sides last year.

If there is a blowout tonight the overreaction will be astronomical.
I think this game will be a blowout.

Guys have been chomping at the bit for a while year.

After the adrenaline rush of game 1, things will settle.

PP is the biggest drama queen out there....very hard to think he could be "hard" in any capacity.

This is all exactly right except Durant will score 28 not 27. The other numbers are all correct.
