If they resign both, and assuming that they both return close to form, the Warriors will remain a very formidable contender. But those tax payments are going to be insane...

With Klay tearing his ACL is just doesn't seem sensible to go for the 350 mil payroll

They would be paying 4.50 to a 1 for Klay and KD to not play most of the year

I just couldn't stay awake last night and passed out sometime during halftime...

... what horrible, rotten luck for Klay Thompson and Golden State. Kinda ruins the series to the point that this is an "*" year for the Raptors.

That being said... injuries are a part of sports, and it certainly isn't Toronto's fault things went down like this.

What is the alternative though?

They can't let Klay walk.

If both players decide they want to stay, GS could be the most formidable 7 seed ever next year.

Klay was looking unstoppable. 30 points on 12 FGA and 10 FT in less than 3 quarters. What a shame.

Or 8 seed. It would be an insane first round matchup if they had Klay and Durant coming back.

I assume they keep Klay and KD goes elsewhere

That said gonna be interesting to see who they can plug in seeing that they aren't real likely to go super expensive on the replacements to fill out the roster.....again because they end up costing five times more.

GS just looked tired in the playoffs. I think Durant leaves and they sign Klay to a max deal. Having said that, Klay's basically out all of last year. Might do the Warriors some good to have your season end in April to get some added rest.

Sure.

But, IMO KD's injury makes a Warrior return more likely.

Now he has 2 realistic pathways of ending back with the Warriors with the player option. He is also more likely to resign long term because the injury will Defintely take some teams out of the running.

Bob Myers is a hypocrite and a liar if the Warriors are 1 of those teams unwilling to pay KD. Which is possible, but far from given since Myers is a stand up guy by all accounts I have heard.

Didn't want to see Klay go down after KD hurt himself. That was unfortunate.

But man, what a god damn night.

The Warriors are such a great team. Just about flawless.

Eh, fuck it. Raptors in 6.
I wish I could say there's a part of the game that Toronto is better at than Milwaukee but...

Eh, fuck it. Raps in 6.
Does Allen Iverson still play for Philly? No? Raps in 7.
Had to go back. Called the last three Raptors series to the game (I said Raps in 8 in round 1 and I still believe that).

You're welcome, city.

Yeah now that both have torn ACL’s it doesnt make much sense. Pick one, obviously the choice is Klay

I have said it before but I think when Klay is on he is the best shooter ever. He steps up in big games, Curry not so much. Klay is a huge key to the W’s, obviously just like Steph but he is so clutch

Congrats Raptors!!!! on taking down the the warriorettes.......... Nice not having the Cavs relevant in the East, huh? :D

And Warriors.......... looks like you got yourself a nice dose of Cavs karma circa 2015. For what its worth, if you guys would've been full strength I think you would've won this series. Much like the outcome of '15 would've been different....

Sucks, don't it?

Are you going to bitch all night about this?

You're becoming as annoying as @Montalban right about now
Yes, it can be annoying when someone is always right. One too many injuries to overcome, but congrats to the Raptors anyway. They played well and its not their fault that the Warriors suffered an unprecedented rash of injuries.
