To me the cavs defense game plan was to let everyone score a easy bucket besides curry or klay. Although steph and klay missed some easy 3s too.

Nah, Curry just sucks :thumb:

Lol it seemed like every time curry or klay came off a screen 2 or 3 guys would jump on top of them and someone would have a easy layup or dunk inside

It looked like the Cavs stole the defensive gameplan that the Hawks utilized during their respective series.

Well they tried to hide Kyrie on Barnes, and Barnes took advantage. They did their best to hide Love on Bogut, but that's a size advantage in itself. They can't afford to play Love, and Frye at the same time as well. Cleveland can make changes someway, somehow, but I have no idea what their plans are defensively. As for Curry, I thought Cleveland kind of focused all of their attention on him leaving guys like Iggy and Draymond open, and that's not a bad idea, but if Draymond and Iggy are hitting those open shots, it sort of nullifies what you do to Curry.
Dray's and Iggy's defense on LBJ was phenomenal. I hope they keep it up the next 3 and this will be over earlier than we thought.

No wonder they can't win...they steal the offense of the Dubs and the defense of the Hawks.

We did kind of all expect Warriors Spurs for WCF and then we all kind of said winner of that series would beat Cleveland. So OKC just played the role of the Spurs.

Series' do evolve, adjustments get made, but man Cleveland just got smoked on a day when they said shut down Curry. There's a whole team to deal with. This isn't an Eastern team.

I was hoping that Livingston would increase his scoring now that he doesn't have to deal with the length and athleticism of OKC. It sure looked like the Cavs defenders weren't bothering his shot at all.

For those trying their hardest to believe the Cavs are benefitting more from a longer "rest"....

Draymond Green on facing the rested Cavs:
"It's the NBA Finals.....you find a new wind and go into a different gear for that."
I tried to tell people who thought the Cavs were ready. All that rest didn't mean crap tonight. All those 3's they been shooting came from lack of defense. If the Dubs play defense the rest of the way like they did tonight the Cavs will be lucky to make 3's in double digits. The close out on those shooters was awesome.

I'm gonna piggyback here.....

I posted this on monday...and after tonight game, it's evident that it came to fruition:

The splash bros are not going to be this ice cold for the rest of the series.

Great job by the GS bench!

Despite having a -1 tonight, you figure that when Curry's on the floor, the Warriors will probably outscore the Cavs. The key is having the bench play even with the Cavs during the first 6 minutes of the 2nd quarter and the first 6 minutes of the 4th quarter, as those are Curry's usual rest times. Tonight the bench certainly came through during those time periods.

The Dubs' bench outscored the Cavs' bench 45-10.

That's also known as Getting. It. Done.

LOL. One of the big factors there is that our bench took 32 shot attempts, while the Cavs bench only shot the ball 10 times. The Warriors play as a team. They trust each other.
