Now, if the Heat pulled off this trade, they would be at approx $172M for Jimmy, Bam, Dame, Lowry, and Robinson. Dipo could opt in for $9.5M. They'd have the $5M taxpayer MLE (I don't think the 2nd tax apron prevents that until 24/25) and Bird rights on Strus and Vincent and a cap hold of $6.6M for 6 empty roster spots. Lowry's contract ends after next season, so that could be enough to keep them under the 2nd tax apron in 24/25 when the penalties start hitting.

Getting Dame would certainly kill any depth they have though, to be backfilled with vet min contracts and no draft picks until 2024.

Yeah they really need to push for the dipo opt in.

Portland could have some expiring deals to take on more 24 salary when teams will really need to start ducking that "stop investing in your product" penalty

For the Lakers, Hawkins has been the common pick. Guys that could me there that they could have a lot of interest in would include Lively, Wallace, Coulibaly, and Bufkin. If they trade down, I could see Maxwell Lewis being a target, along with Sensabaugh, GG, Jett, Murray, and Colby Jones.

This draft is so deep on it's fourth tier (Wemby 1st tier , Miller/Scoot 2nd, 4-10 or so the 3rd tier, 11-40 essentially the 4th tier).

Heat and Lakers seem to be looking for the same types...

If they keep the pick, I want Coulibay. His stock appears to be rising to where he's probably not gonna be there anymore (went from 15 to 25 range to looking like 8 thru 12). Yeah, he's young and raw and the Lakers as constructed would likely be better served with a guy more ready to play but his raw talents are too much to pass up imo. He's only 18, has pro experience and has already shown flashes of being an elite 3 and D guy at the very least. Where he's at with his age and experience, its reminds me a bit of Embiid and Giannis when they were just starting out. I'm not saying he's gonna be stars like those two, but more in the means of being a raw talent where you can see that untapped potential. Some guys are raw and look a mess and you're really just talking yourself into it. Players like this guy though are raw and just waiting for that potential to be unlocked whether its by coaching, opportunity, or just getting older/progressing.

I’ve put it for like 8 teams all ready, but I’m all in coulibay

“Coulibay…no matter what”

I'd rather have the #10 than either. Bog has to be on that tipping point of a decline.

I don’t get this move for Dallas

They’re in a Tough spot, but if you’re moving 10, it’s bertans hitting the road

Here We go

Only like 2 years too late
He has a no trade clause and has them over a barrell. I think Harris and one or two picks would actually get this done for the Sixers if that’s where Beal wants to go. Beal has all the cards.

Not worth it.

If that is all they can get?

Keep him.

Not Handing away Beal for a bad contract and 2 late firsts.

Their first first they can trade is 2029

Embiid probably has robot legs by then

Harris contract is a better contract than Beal’s right now. Number 1 it’s less money. More importantly it’s 3-4 years less. Beal has only played in 90 games over the last 2 regular seasons. He really doesn’t look like much of a prize anymore. The Wizards waited too long to move him, then gave him one of the worst contracts in league.

Welp, never mind. This dude is a Sixers beat writer and is pretty clued in.

If it was 2 picks?

Then I would want them to be distant and unprotected.

Translation:

Our one shitty pick isn’t enough
Or Beal doesn’t want to go to Philly. Or Philly doesn’t want a dude who can’t defend, has never won, and has only played 90 games the last two seasons. Doesn’t matter who it is, Wizards waited too long and will get fleeced in this deal. Beal is now widely seen as one of the worst contracts in the league.
