Something happened. Jerry fouled it straight back and the ball somehow made it thru the net. The guy jumped up and started waving and the ump, catcher and batter were standing there staring then they left the camera on the pitcher for about a minute and didn't say anything about it. When they went back to the plate, there were staff running up.

I didn't notice it when it happened. Just went back and watched it again, yeah, it made it through the screen and smoked that blonde in the right side of the face.

Ahhh, too bad. Was at a Padres game back in about '08 and saw a lady get blasted in the head by a laser-beam down the first base line. I thought she was dead. I've never seen play stop for three minutes over a fan getting hit. Jeff Francouer was playing right for the Mets and he was all the way at the wall watching with the bullpen and first-base ump. She went out unconscious on a stretcher with a clearly panicking husband.

I'm a Davy Johnson fan, but his managing lately has left me scratching my head quite a bit.

Yeah, people say "you have to pay attention". While that's true, it's impossible to pay attention 100% of the time at a game. You're always looking at the scoreboard, buying peanuts or something. Behind the plate, though, you think you're protected by the screen. She was paying attention, just didn't think it could get to her. Those are $300 seats, too. You'd think they could get a screen that could protect the rich folks in the Lexus President's Club.

That said, she's still there. She just moved over a couple seats so I guess she's ok.

I don't know why they're arguing. They're fucking strikes. That last one MAY have been a bit low, but it's not like he would have swung at it if it was center cut, so who cares?
